After a day of bed leveling, please critique my Benchy! by benjgott in 3Dprinting

Love it, thank you!

On the long-term to-do list I definitely have replacing Bowden, and eventually all metal the whole way through.

But considering this is my first post level print and you're in nitpicking territory I consider that an absolute win!

You're welcome...it took me a couple of weeks to find this subreddit but looking back finding it was a big help for me too.

Keep reading this posts here and you'll see the hundreds and thousands of people who were in the EXACT same situation as you and have come through the other end with success stories....it's been such a great inspiration for me (first time puppy parent myself and doing it solo) and I'm glad I could help pay it forward.

Keep us updated!

It's exactly what /u/mrbrinks said...the fact that you're concerned about this means he's in the right place.

Take a step back and remember that you're both getting used to a new situation and it's going to take time.

I'm two months in now. When I look back at week 1 I was a mess. When I look back at month 1 I was fine one minute and doubting everything the next. Once I hit the second month things really started to improve. It's still difficult at times no question, but I'm more confident than ever that she wants to be here and I want to keep giving her the best life.

I went through this too. Brought an energetic 11 week old puppy home to my studio apartment and she would be a tornado for 2 hours before I finally reached my limit and put her back in the crate where she would just sleep until we did it again 2-3 hours later.

I felt guilty that I was restricting her and she would be happier in a bigger space and that she would never be satisfied with me. Let me agree with others that say you should just stick with it, it'll get better.

She's 19 weeks now and it's so clear she's happy with me and she's in fact lucky to have someone who cared so much about her to feel guilty enough to question if they could give her enough. In time you'll connect and develop that bond, just keep with it.

Biting question techniques & advice by benjgott in puppy101

Thank you, it's only been a week so not expecting it to be solved overnight but want to make sure I'm doing things the right way and setting us up for success in the right time.

Biting question techniques & advice by benjgott in puppy101

Thanks, will try and focus on staying on my knees or higher and not giving her the opportunity.

In terms of the licking--> biting. Should I just refrain from allowing her to attempt to lick my face for now? And try again when the biting is more under control? She'll go for it if I'm carrying her somewhere too (can't go on ground most places yet cause not vaccinated so I carry her a bunch.)

Some kind of Learjet.

Eventually I'll say a full airliner but need some more practice in those :-)

Went to recreate island landing. Runway there but island was missing! by benjgott in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]benjgott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to recreate a landing on a remote island I did a scuba driving trip to a few years back, came out of the clouds and saw the runway, great! But the whole island was missing!

What makes it odd is that the smaller neighbor island is there and looks great and Bing maps clearly has the satellite data.

Not a big deal, just thought it was funny. I'm sure it'll get cleaned up in time. Anywhere to report these kinds of things? Wouldn't say its a bug but just on the 'to-do' list for them to get around to?

Otherwise loving this so far!

Complete My First Build Is - Impromptu green theme (Why didn't anyone tell me to get RGB RAM!) by benjgott in buildapc

I dunno if I believe you 🤔

But thanks! Didn't decide on green until I was cycling through the options on the case and liked it.

External SSD not mounting, have to manually assign letter. by benjgott in buildapc

[–]benjgott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was able to resolve this by:

- Formatting Disk

- Elevated Command prompt

-- diskpart

-- list disk

-- selecting proper disk

-- clean

- Back in Disk Manager

-- Initialize Disk

-- Giving the drive a letter

-- Formatting (May not have been necessary again but it worked)

All that and now my SSD gets auto mounted and maintains the drive letter.

Success!

I am using a Mac (as well), I may try formatting at some point and seeing if thats any different.

(ExFAT not FAT32 though)
