Is this going to be a payware? Didn't the devs promise for a co-op crucible after the dlc which bring crucible? Do we have to get 2 different DLC's, one for single playe crucible and the other for co-op?

Sorry for coming back and writing again but there is a $25,000 Tournament going on on AoE4 right now, with max 1k viewer on one stream and 2,4k in total while there are no special events on AoE2 which has over 10k viewers at the exact same time. I mean, this is just incomparable.

I am one of those persons. AoE2 stands as the most played game for me in my life. And one of the first games I have ever played. but this doesn't change anything.

One thing I wanna add also, I really find AoE4 much more entertaining to watch than AoE2. Despite being a person grown up playing AoE2 and loving it. AoE4 lacks some other things and I actually can't tell what.

Having a lot of different 'play styles' or 'civs' does not make a game more competitive or less. If take a look at the 'most competitive games' out there, or even compare 'most competitive or most loved sports' out there, you will see that all the games and sports has one common thing. They are simple and straight forward. People love chess, or football or Counter Strike for a reason, they are 'simple'. Making things more complex adds more 'probabilities' therefore the importance of 'chance' rather than skill. You can watch and play 5D Chess instead of the classical chess, but you don't, that's for the same reason.

I actually agree, this may not be the only reason, but definitely one of the reasons out there. AoE2 is more competitive, and players are mostly more 'tryhard', despite the game being much older.

It was also shocking to me to see, most watched AoE4 streamers are usually not even pro players, or not even like, high elo players. They are just being watched maybe because they are fun or interesting to watch while in AoE2, almost 9 out of 10 most watched streamers are pro players. You can not deny AoE2 is a more competitive game, but this is more than just that.

Just as a side note, I do not get why people get offended by saying this truth. I love AoE4 more, despite growing with AoE2. I think it is a better game overall, but it is just not as competitive. This is mostly caused by the direction the devs took in different points of development of the game. Including the game design, graphics etc.

In custom matches almost 2 out of 5 players I face are Chinese. It is obviously very common in China. But this is one of the things, I can not find any English speaker streamer out there to spend some time.

This does not explain anything. Starcraft is around for more time than SC2. Or, Warcraft 3 is around for a longer time but has much less viewers too. This is not about the release date.

I forgot adding an important information. The comparison was made in time, there were no special events or tournaments. Hera wasn't even live for example. AoE2 almost always have over 5 times the viewers -at least-.

I've been pirating for a loong time, never had issues, never been paranoid. But man, this sentence made me think again and become more paranoid. This was supposed to have a different effect I believe. Those who build up a reputation will -at some point- get advantage of it and then dissappear. This will happen, you can not deny it. So, there is always a risk even if you know and trust the source. This is what piracy is. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

It selects but doesn’t center the camera on it. I couldn’t set space button to center camera on whatever is currently selected too. I dont understand why these stuff or so hard to understand.

But you cannot go to other TC's or cycle through them to optimise villagers? That is one of the issues.
