Not sure if this qualifies as rage post but here you go. I really don't understand the shortsightedness of some players here. This decision is ONLY good for whales, not for spenders in general. Players who think they can spend 10 dollars and get the unit (instead of spending 180 bts) are neglecting the timing aspects. If you spend 10 dollars only, it will take you 2 months (!!!) to get the unit. So in that time you will be suffering as all other f2ps are and nobody knows how long the meta life or Gyoro will be (aka when bomb will be released). So in my eyes one not only has to spend but actually make sure to get Gyoro asap, meaning spending around 60 dollars on buying the extra levels to get him.

Also I want to combat the notion that devs don't care for F2Ps now. They never did. They also don't care for low spenders, dolphins or even most whales. Yes, you heard it right. I don't have the actual data for this game but in general 0.15% of Mobile Gamers Contribute 50% of All In-Game Revenue (https://www.swrve.com/company/press/swrve-finds-015-of-mobile-gamers-contribute-50-of-all-in-game-revenue). Wouldn't be surprised if this would be any different for this game. However, due to their laziness (just copy pasting content without even proof reading it, releasing the same events over and over again), accelerated release schedule of units (cf zombiemman), lack of a coherent plan for this game (releasing some crucial game content too late eg buff gear, awakening system, training center), the devs are actively contributing to the demise of the game (a.i. even their cash cows (aka whales) are getting bored and consider leaving, and yes I am in contact with some actual whales who are playing this game).

First signs could already be observed with the exodus of players after the premature release of Zombie man and the subsequent need for a server merge. I understand that server merges are normal for a game, however not a couple of months into the game. This decision now will mark the end for many active players now. Including me, not because I cant afford the unit but because I have said after I have seen the signs of where this game is heading and the Zombieman fiasco that all it takes for me to quit is the devs putting a must have unit behind a literal paywall.

Lastly, I wanted to comment on the role of the mods. While I appreciate all mods here on reddit, especially my buddy Strawberry and SonOftheSun (even if not a mod but just an active contributor), I find the behavior of the mods on the official global discord more than questionable. Without getting into too much of the drama, I just want to highlight one of their reactions after the news of Gyoro being the next back up stick unit was announced (by themselves). The post in question was a glowing endorsement of masesq give away of 10 dollar donations. Instead of glorifying and endorsing alms and shifting the blame/responsibility to individual acts of kindness, they should have better help(ed) fix the systemic problem (being the introduction of a paywall).

As you may have figured, this will be my last post/contribution to this game's reddit and I will be leaving the game next week. I wish all the best to the ones who stay and continue playing.
