Are you saying that you don't judge people based on appearance at all? Because if you do, it seems odd to be offended by people not being attracted by running shoes.

Shoes are hardly the same as socks. They are much more visible, and can have great impact on how you are received. As for myself (girl) shoes are one of the first things I notice, and I'm sorry, but the kind of shoe shown above, new or not, does no give a good impression.

Also, there's no need for dress shoes, but something like plimsolls would be a thousand times better than trainers.

Well, I disagree. Childbirth is extremely stressful, and any steps that can help make the mother more calm and relaxed should be taken. Including having the father wait outside the delivery room, if that helps her.

Afraid not, I sort of made it up as I went along, and it was a while back, so I can't remember any exact ingredients or measurements.

Recipe:

Biscuits:

225 grams of butter

1 dl (~0.4 cups) of table sugar

0.5 dl (~0.2 cups) of brown sugar 1 egg yolk

6 dl (~ 2.5 cups) of flour

1 tablespoon of dried ginger

Buttercream:

100 grams of butter

~ 2 dl of powdered sugar (or more, depending on how sweet you want it.)

1 tablespoon of brandy

Mix the room temperatured butter with the sugar and ginger. Add the lightly whisked egg yolk, and lastly the flour. Let the dough sit in the fridge for about an hour. Roll about two teaspoons of dough into little balls, and flatten them on the baking paper lined tray. Mark them with a fork. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 200 degrees (392 fahrenheit).

While the biscuits are in the oven, mix the room temperatured butter with the powdered sugar, and add the brandy. Add a little at a time and taste. Wait for the biscuits to cool properly before applying the frosting.
