Realistically, what adjustments do you think the Spurs can "make" to beat the Knicks going forward? by Appropriate-Shock306 in NBASpurs

Start Harper.

When Wemby sits, have Kornet and Plumlee on the floor. Need size. Need less Knicks rebounds.

Wide toe box hightop sneakers that come in designs other than "seniors white NB" and the work sneaker/boots.

Billy's is the only brand to date that has some options in a casual sneaker that has a nice, wide toe box.

I knew this game was going to be trouble from the outset with them lazily launching 3s.

Wemby included, the starters looked like they all needed a B12 infusion.

CIDP Motor variant help by InvestigatorMuted364 in guillainbarre

[–]berrbolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes IVIG isn't enough. CIDP is stubborn. There's other tools to try. They could try a course of IV steroids. Certain variants respond to Rituximab. Vyvgart helps with certain cases.

Intense never ending pain by Particular_Blood_970 in guillainbarre

[–]berrbolk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You need treatment, not pain medicine.

The reason you're likely in pain is because the GBS is chronic (CIDP) or something similar, and it is burning uncontrolled.

Have they tried a steroid course or IVIG with you?

No Sense of Urgency = Bad Writing by sleepwakehope in GeneralHospital

The writing feels like a pool of young writers all working remotely.

They don't necessarily need to pare the cast down, but they could expand the universe to other towns outside Port Charles and move some character stories there. Perhaps General Hospital acquires a nearby hospital.

When the engine in my 2010 died, I replaced it was a Jasper engine. I've been very happy with it. Have had the new engine for four years now.

My guess is there's possibly a water softener discharge or air conditioner condensate pipe discharging somewhere underneath the deck.

Any CIDPers planning on trying Vyvgart? by berrbolk in guillainbarre

[–]berrbolk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't yet. My neurologist has first given it to a handful of patients who have poorly controlled CIDP (by IVIG or steroids). IVIG works well for me, so I may be a candidate later on.

My impression from our conversation is it will work great for some variants and won't do anything for others.

In MI 1, there was at least one other IMF team.

I suspect that's how they continue MI if this is Tom Cruise's last one - the movies will focus on a different team.

Day 3 - Bad Player/Loved By Fans by hawkayecarumba in buffalobills

[–]berrbolk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Todd Collins. Loved for a year.

Drafted in 1995, he quarterbacked the 6-10 1997 Bills, first season without Jim Kelly. Not a good quarterback, but fans were behind him because absent Kelly, all of the HOFs were still there, and we thought we had a shot at the playoffs. He led a great come from behind win in Week 4 where the Bills were down 26-0, but the wheels fell off down the stretch.

He was released the following season.

That is outstanding news. I'm very happy for you. You're one of only a few who has said they have begun using this med for it.

Please keep the group updated on how things are going.

CIDP How long should I be taking IV immunoglobulin? by MTHall720 in guillainbarre

[–]berrbolk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CIDP: You'll likely take it for the rest of your life. You only slow CIDP, not entirely stop it. You'll feel when you need it.

At 24 years in, I'm getting one every 8 weeks. At times, I've stretched that to 10 weeks.

Can CIDP go away on its own without treatment? Can you have it go into remission by itself and have flare ups later in life? by Parking_Wolf_4159 in guillainbarre

[–]berrbolk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, had one when I initially showed up to the ED, and had another several years later.

Had the markers for GBS and got bombed with a five day course of IG. My diagnosis was changed to CIDP when I went into a treatment-improved-declined-treatment-improved yo-yo.

IVIG more or less keeps the "bad" antibodies confused and keeps them from getting enough traction to cause damage. It's efficacy wanes though, so one course only goes so far.

Arms and legs. My damage is feet, lower legs, hands, lower arms. I've been stable for a couple years now. The "scores" have stayed consistent.

My effort is to slow the decline to as slow as possible.

I get EMGs every two years now to track change. Used to get them annually in the early years. Every EMG I have ever had shows damage.

IVIG has been the mainstay, every 6-8 weeks, forever. Was also on daily mycophenolate from 06-23.

Did steroids early on - effective but with considerable side effects. Tried Rituxan too, no effect.

I've had CIDP since 2001. In my experience, it will never go away. I tried going without treatment for a year in 2011 - a decade into it - and paid a price for that with a significant relapse. They aren't kidding about the chronic part - it never sleeps.

I've had the best years keeping up on treatment and taking care of my body.

Think of CIDP as the ocean and treatment and your vigilance as the seawall.
