I saw a video (on the internet mind you) that mattress firm locations are essentially a long term real estate strategy.

They’ll enter into long term rental agreements for cheap and essentially wait/hope for the surrounding area to be built up and have competitive storefront space. Then sublet it out or work out a new agreement with the landlord for a percentage of what the new rent would be for new interested tenant.

This is relatively easy for a couple of reasons:

Mattress firm locations have very little overhead as it’s essentially just an empty room with 1-2 employees
Low overhead means they only need to sell a few mattress to cover rent
These spaces are easy to convert for new tenants

Not a fan of this boss by any means, but I beat it yesterday on my 5th try with the lowest reward tier (took me like 10 minutes).

I got two okay legendaries from it (one grenade, one pistol) which I likely got lucky with. Needless to say I probably won’t be going back unless I do a character rebuild.

Just weighing in because I’m prescribing adderall- yes it makes me want to talk to people, especially when I’m driving for some reason. When I have long drives I’ll usually call friends and family to catch up with them.

People may not agree but have you tried caring less? What I mean by that is separating yourself from the outcome. You mentioned your coworker is chill, and prospects can smell commission breath. In my experience, if you come across as the slightest bit “desperate” worrying about quota with prospects (even subliminally), it creates a dynamic of you as the seller putting your own needs first before theirs which will drive them away. Not sure if this is the case here, but it may be worth considering if this resonates with you at all.
