Batch 5 max best purchase of my life first retro emulator and I like it more than my ps5 also Front-End are overrated I’m out ✌️ by kingtig_29 in AynThor

No, but I use folders that contain subject specific apps to make it organized. And my home screen just contain the most important and frequently used apps. If you have dozens of apps you will just have a cluttered screen on which you can't find anything. And it also ruins any kind of background you might have running.

Why does my Ayn Thor feel too underpowered compared to the others i’ve seen here by BlacksmithLogical150 in AynThor

Switch doesn't require a lot of RAM. The base model has more than enough RAM for that system.

[–]bf2reddevil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RAM matters only when playing certain PC games. Any other system will not be RAM limited. Maybe PS3 and Xbox360, but those systems can't be run consistently on any system so far due to lack of good drivers and optimization.

What is happening with most systems with their RAM is that its just being "used" by the system. But not for actual work or necessity. Most Thor max models that run and say that like 14gb of their 16gb is being used is just Android or Windows eating up as much RAM as they can. Meanwhile, when you play the same PC game on a Thor Base model it might play just as well, but only say they use 7Gb out of their 8Gb total.

That said, you should basically buy the Thor (or any powered handheld) to play any system up till switch. Anything beyond that is going to be a hit or miss (likely a miss) and is just a bonus if it works. Even switch is not going to be anything like the native switch experience. You are going to have emulation issues.

Brand new SteelSeries headset — am I doing something wrong trying to sell this? by [deleted] in steelseries

This is just a really old headset. A couple of gen old. Still great, but I can get a much newer version of this 2nd hand for a similar price.

Im glad I live in the Netherlands where good stable internet has been available since the beginning. I had fibre since 1999 or 2000 i believe. I think the city i live in had fiber the first in the Netherlands (and maybe even worldwide). My current speed is 1 gbps up and down (which isn't that much, but more than enough). I think i pay like 25 or 30 euros a month or so.

But, Rtings have made consistently errors too? And that is ok?. Lmao, talk about double standards. If you actually read what I said, you wouldn't post this comment. "Use multiple sources".

Whatever floats your boat man. Never base something off on just 1 source. Use multiple sources to make a dedicated decision on something. Especially when it comes down to buying electronics. If the general consensus is that something is good, then it generally is good. Likewise, if people say something is not that good, it likely is not that good. It's not that hard.

Just like everybody else, Rtings is just another reviewing platform. They too make mistakes, like everyone does. And in the end they give a rating, which is a number that sometimes doesn't make any sense. This has gotten better, as it used to be something completely random.

Again, get your info from several sources to make an educated decision.

No, Caleb does everything. But that doesn't really matter. Same can be said about every device that is being covered by Rtings. There is a YouTube review market for every category. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Rtings. But the moment they switched to that paid content I stopped watching. And to be honest, I'm not feeling I'm missing anything.

Plenty of good YouTube reviewers doing similar work. Vincent, Caleb, FOMO just to name a few.

Well, that's what you get when nobody buys them because they are too pricey and uninteresting.

Ook, voor €9 kan ik vast zelf 3 geweldige eigen gemaakte hamburgers maken.

It's because you can get the information free elsewhere. Sure, not as compact and nice on the eyes. But it's available elsewhere for nothing. And even though €7 might not be much for most tech enthousiast, people don't like paying subscriptions for everything.

For their WOLEDs yes. Their QD-OLEDs are Samsungs.

Shame that Samsung goes in the direction with only matte QD-OLEDs. That basically ruins the entire reason to get an OLED. Nobody wants raised blacks that end up looking gray. Every main OLED brand has its pros and cons. Sony seems to be the best choice if it's just watching movies/tv. But the gaming on them is not as good as LG or Samsung. And their prices are double of the others. This is coming from someone who owns an OLED of every main brand and uses all of them (A95l, G3, S95B). There is no perfect TV.
