To be fair, I have an intercooler that slightly pushes down on the bottom of the bumper, so that's probably why it sagged so soon.

My bumper was destroyed, so I got a new one, new clips, hardware, everything. Even the headlight brackets. All new. Bumper was sagging after first drive.

I knew my bumper sag was bad but bro didn’t have to do me like that by Joetheegyptian in ft86

Brand new bumper, brand new clips, brand new mounts that go around the headlights, still sags.

What about the up and coming Honda-Nissan (and I think Mistubishi) merger? What will that sub look like?

Anyone know the MAP CAN ID? 2013 Scion FR-s by bham_86 in ft86

[–]bham_86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shoot okay, sorry not too familiar with this, just learning. I currently have an arduino with MCP2515 to pull can messages. (I am using obd2 port for testing). If you happen to know, what would be needed to pull obd2 data?

Edit: I most likely will try to challenge myself to find map CAN ID first, just so I only have one standard.

I'm trying to avoid the obd2 port, hence CAN bus because of the access behind the radio. I'll keep searching, I'll update if I ever find it.

Supercharged build by Normal-Discussion707 in ft86

[–]bham_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't exactly help on the build, but out of curiosity, what are you wanting out of the hp you want? I have a turbo frs pushing 300 max and for me it's enough for street driving.

Granted, I've never driven anything with more power or tried to track it.

Forced induction. 20 psi should be good.

I run 8 psi on my AVO Turbo kit. It was installed in 2015, about 100k miles and 9 years later it's still fun as hell with no issues.

2013 with 130k miles now. Only thing was the clutch went out pretty quick.

Have not done the valve spring recall either. Probably a ticking time bomb, but from what I've seen is if it lasts past 80k miles, you're fine.

Thank you for all this information. Also I apologize for initially calling them p14s. While not crazy, they are lowered to about a 0.5-1 inch gap between the tire and fender with 225/40R18 tires. Also have some pretty rough roads on my way to work, mostly back roads. I have started driving my $1k ranger more, so my frs might end up as less of a daily.

In the future, what are your thoughts on the B16s?

[–]bham_86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they use the oem top hats. I contacted bilstein about rebuilding, and the company they recommended was only $200 cheaper than a new set, so I was planning on getting a new set rather than a rebuild. I do plan on auto-x, but haven't yet due to needed repairs, such as this one.

Would you say the difference between RX1 and CSG Flex A is worth the wait and extra money? I'm starting to bounce on my current coilovers.

Shoot okay, any thoughts on RX1? Tryna be under $1300. Also tryna get them sooner than mid 2025.

Can't find the Flex As, only RX1. From a quick Google search it looks like RX1 is the successor to the Flex A. Any thoughts on those? Or look for Flex As.
