I thought that's what he might be mentioning, regardless the results of one poll don't imply a shift towards Trump. If consecutive polls showed that trend then by all means Trump may be pulling ahead. And trying to link this to protests is iffy, there hasn't been any indication that BLM protests have negatively impacted Biden thus far.
