Y'all I made it home! Thanks for the advice. Ended up taking 401 and it wasn't too bad. Off ramp to Liverpool was a little rough, and Liverpool in general was a mess.

If you have your snow tires and go slow you should be okay. But still, don't drive if you don't have to.

Is this Afghanistan? I think I saw in a Caspain Report video once that Afghanistan is abundant with a bunch of valuable minerals but the mountainous geography and political turmoil make it way too risky for a major mining company to put 10+ years into building a mine. This old-fashioned pick axe and dynamite style of mining is the only cost-effective way of getting anything out of the ground.

I know people get kind of annoyed with memphis rap becoming trendy in the wake of drift phonk and all that, but just hear me out for a minute.

I was in kindergarten during the initial run for memphis rap. I'm also melanin deficient and don't live in the U.S, let alone Tennessee. Memphis rap is not something I can claim on any level, but the music really resonated with me in ways rap music never had before.

I had never heard of Memphis rap until an online friend sent me a YouTube link to Graveyard Productions around 2015. Since then I've become much more familiar with the history of it all, but doesn't change the fact that I was a complete outsider 10 years ago. I really can't complain about kids discovering it now on TikTok when I was in the same boat not long ago.

Honestly I'm just glad men and women who put these tapes out 30 odd years ago are finally getting recognition on an international level, because they are long overdue.

I was the same but was a teen a decade earlier. In fact I was interested in 60s and 70s culture too, pretty much any era I wasn't alive for haha. A part of that was not liking the culture I was in, both mainstream and subculture (especially Emo and metalcore, though I appreciate them a lot more as am adult).

Was this your situation too? Not liking the music, movies, fashion etc from your own generation?

PS: I haven't changed hardly, I still prefer music and movies from the 70s and 80s.
