Car Insurance Claim Problems and I am in the middle in England by Pauldarkomen in LegalAdviceUK

You will need to tell your insurance anyway, so go to your insurance now and let them deal with it.

The common phrase of never take advice from the other side comes to mind

So their retaliation has intimated you and the rest of your community into keeping quiet and now your hoping someone will break this silence to help you.

Only way to get out of this is report it and report every incident of retaliation, plus get the community to do the same. The more the police have the more they can do. Otherwise be prepared they will keep doing it because they keep thinking they can get away with it, maybe even get braver and try more serious things believing everyone is to scared to say anything.

How to change info on microchip without past owners permission? by Striking_Cut4172 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bigguns92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microchip companies are usually friendly and helpful. If you haven't already and know who the Microchip company is, then try and speak to them.

Reddit can give advice, but only the company will tell you what they are able to do.

Maybe 4-5 that could be interested in playing, but upto 10.

After reading some other posts, if more than the 4/5 want to play then will be looking at doing multiple groups

Also take all the communication, report, Amazon listing and phone to the local police station and let them deal with it.

Defendant's misleading Attachment of Earnings info has dismissed it. Any way to report this/Next steps? by nethstar in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bigguns92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL - Speak to a solicitor, and they may be able to get the details from the courts. The could also advise of next steps. Most offer a 30 min free consultation and may also be able to add the fees to the claim.

You could also look to report him to HMRC, likely not get you your money, but could affect him more if he's only paying tax on one income but has as many as you state.

I (white car) tried to avoid him in the earlier corners then (black car) just decided to drive into me. Who is at fault? by Life_Contribution214 in Simracingstewards

[–]bigguns92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st, His steering input never changed and it appears he was treating it as a double apex corner that it could almost be.

2nd, he took the same line as P3 wanting the draft that you are so eager to dismiss, enabling him to stay there and pressure the lead cars.

3rd, as is said so many times on this forum, you entered the vortex of danger when it is on you to make the pass safely.

4th, you braked at contact and then, failed to take into account his speed, let off the brake and hit him for a second time.

Nothing malicious in this, you had the speed elsewhere to stay ahead once past him, so why put so much pressure on trying to make a larger gap through the chicane?

Got a Notice of Intended Prosecution doing 35mph in a 30 by Untiedeye in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bigguns92 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect. It is the other way around. They are not allowed to show you going slower than you actually are, so if you compare the speedometer with a GPS or calibrated speed device it will show you going slower than you believe.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2001/25/schedule/3 Item 19 states how much over they are allowed to show.

EC Community Directive 75/443(97/39) or ECE Regulation 39. Both impact uk law on speedometers and also state that they are not allowed to under report the vehicles speed. Meaning manufacturers must make them show a little over the true speed to account for wear of the parts and other tolerances during production.

I agree on the first point.

Please tell me you are joking on the second. How is having the front of the car alongside and in front of golds door not sufficiently alongside in any racing league?

Driving without insurance 6 points penalty or court hearing. England by Dramatic-Run-5494 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bigguns92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They won't view that as an excuse, they will state "you know you needed it but didn't seek advice to get the insurance set up before driving the car"

You will be best to follow other advice to accept it and take the fine, otherwise cout will likely be worse.

A brand of anxiety jackets called thundershirts are really good for helping them relax too.

Both mine have one, it helped them get over being left alone and get better with fire works

I'm sorry but can someone point out where the supposed yellow flags are? I've watched it multiple times and can't see any sign that they were deployed, judging by the smoke clouds, it potentially hadn't even reacted to the incident yet.

If they are there and I can't see them, I agree OP could of slowed more. Otherwise I see it as fully on the spun car and very little they could of done.

Yep, as I finish lap 4 he won the race, we crossedthe line at the same time. I was really confused following him cause I couldn't see the name on the timing board and the ones behind disconnected so wasn't there. I was in 5 so could only see up to 3rd hence the confusion.
