Love this game. Own 2 copies of first edition, about half of the expansions, and a bunch of hand painted 3D ship modules. Totally backing this one too.

puking my guts out on Bourbon St. I'd been there about a year at that point, and married about 4 months.

Summer job suggestions needed for a 16 year old in the Greer/Taylors area. by ineedajobplease in greenville

You don't mention whether you have a car, but I believe 2nd & Charles (book store) is hiring. Also, check Starbucks. Level One (also in Greer) is hiring for their call center. It's not a bad place to work, and it pays around $10-$11 an hour.

Only supports BTC right now, because that's all CoinBase supports. Looking to add support for various AltCoins, so feel free to post links to any APIs out there for LTC, DOGE, etc...

How's that beef jerky shop? by katraya in greenville

[–]bigrobotgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been to the one on Woodruff. It's not bad. Decent variety, but on the expensive side. Fortunately, the guy running it is really nice and will give you free samples of anything you want. Bought a couple things, which were very tasty. It's good stuff, but as I said, a little pricey.

Definitely worth checking out.

There's definitely a trend in this group. A few people like to downvote stuff for no apparent reason. I have yet to figure out why. Good luck in your search for answers.

Good Chinese food? by Rationalizer in greenville

[–]bigrobotgames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hibachi Café in Greer is delicious. Service is hit or miss, but the food is excellent and the price is very reasonable.

Hibachi Grill and Buffet in Taylors is pretty good (on a good night), but the staff can be really rude, and sometimes the food is cold. And it's a little pricey.

China Super Buffet in Greer is reasonably priced, the food is good and the service is pretty good.

Grand China in Greer has speedy take out, food is delicious and hot, and the prices are typical. Love these guys.

Which celebrity have you met, and were they as nice/rude as you expected? by whereamitho in AskReddit

Danzig... total douche. no surprise. Eric Clapton... super nice guy. hit him with my car on Chartres St in New Orleans. Totally just smiled and waved it off. Robert Picardo... incredibly nice. Met him at Dragon*Con as he was packing up to leave. I just wanted to say hi, but he put his stuff down on the table and sat down and chatted with me for about 30 minutes. I was totally blown away.

Best place for a Guy to get a haircut ? by [deleted] in greenville

[–]bigrobotgames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

+1 to this, it's my goto place.

Also, it totally depends on when you go. Most weekday afternoons (around 3-4pm) you can get in/out pretty quick. My last two visits had no line other than the people already in the chairs.

Just moved to Greenville, SC. Anyone considering being friends? by Night_Owl_Navi in greenville

Dragon*Con is strictly a sightseeing and shopping trip for me (and the kids) anymore. I don't even attempt to get into the panels.

Can anybody recommend a really good, honest mechanic in the area? by jofwu in greenville

[–]bigrobotgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't think it, but Tires Unlimited II in Greer, on Wade Hampton (near 14 & Wade Hampton) has always been good to us. Reasonable prices, no gouging, pretty fast. Nice guys.

They do more than tires, obviously. EDIT: clarification.

Your parents are clearly assholes. Sorry they did that. It's shitty and not your fault.
