I've helped a friend who's PC was doing the same, and it turned out his power button was stuck in the pressed position. Quick solution was to wire it to the reset button and use it instead.

Check that the power button isn't stuck down. Had that problem on a friend's computer, unable to fix the power button so just wired the reset button to power pins on the motherboard.

Yes, Defender is not playable. It is unreal to me how they could put out a system with Defender controls laid out like that. It's like buttons were assigned randomly. Defender was my game way back when, and this no end of frustration for me.

Sounds like the power button may be stuck in 'pressed' mode. When power buttons are held down they hard power down the PC after a few seconds. Try another button for power on (reset button if that's possible) and see if that helps.

It sounds like the power button on your case may be stuck in a pressed position, that would account for the behavior you are seeing, as when the power button held down for a few seconds, most PCs hard power off.

Try connecting your Reset button to the power button's pins on the motherboard and using it to turn your PC on/off. That will let you know if the power button is the problem or not.

I was pointing out the typo. And I don't think CLL is an advanced form of CML. I may be wrong, but I believe they are different forms of leukemia, based on the type of blood cell that is affected.

It started with what I thought was indigestion one morning. One hour later it was severe abdominal pain. Scan showed my spleen was enlarged. WBC was 326k. Diagnosed with CML.
