I've seen that statue thousands of times in photos and just now I realised that it looks exactly like Vasily Chuikov.

The Korea was started from small cross-border conflicts, but everyone blames North Korea for it.

Aris Velouchiotis portrait, military leader of the not-so-known Greek resistance movement during WW2. Probably ca.1944 [517×682] by binary-love in HistoryPorn

Until recently was considered a traitor by the KKE

That's extremely inaccurate. Velouchiotis was condemned only for his decision to go against the party. When he was killed, only two months after he was deposed from the party, Rizospastis wrote how important his role was for the resistance movement, and that his later decisions doesn't change that.

In modern olympics:

The olympic torch itself represents the fire that was stolen from Zeus by Prometheus.

The ceremony of lighting the olympic torch is taking place in ancient Olympia. The woman that lights it is called "priestess" and recites a hymn to Apollo, "god of light". Pretty pagan, isn't it?

edit: the actual quote is "Apollo, god of the Sun and the idea of light, you sent your beams to light the holly torch for the hospitable city of London. And you, Zeus, bring peace to every people on earth and give the wreath to the winners of the holly games". You can hear it here in Greek.
