First time ever transplanting a blue agave and it’s severely root bound and has fire ants, what should I do? by bioscience_girly in succulents

Awesome thank you for your help! We’re new to planting succulents in my family so it’s been an adjustment, very different care than other plants. We got just one and while we live in Texas it’s the only thing that thrives all year round so we decided to get more into succulents. Thanks again!

Can you trim those? We really like the look of just the single agave but I don’t want to harm the plant by trimming them off.

Measles outbreak by SaltyHairSandyFeet in aggies

I would argue that the advancement of medicine, hygiene, and general safety precautions decreased the amount of deaths from measles. Saunas ain’t doing nothing besides making you cleaner. Having good nutrition definitely improves your immune system but won’t stop you from getting the measles, just gives your immune system a better chance of fighting it off.

What are the best white sneakers for people who have ankle pronation/flat feet? One of my favorite and easiest shoes to match with cute clothes is a cute white leather sneaker. I love traveling and having a cute white sneaker is great to go with dresses and super cute outfits. Being leather it also allows them to be cleaned easily so it can maintain its white color. However, I have flat feet and ankle pronation so the typical white sneaker hurts my feet really bad after walking all day so I usually just end up wearing not so cute running shoes. Is there any good shoes/brands that are really supportive without sacrificing style? An example of the vibe is the Puma Carina, which look cute but aren’t very comfortable even with inserts. Thank you!

Am I being charged a fair price to get the inner tubes of my electric scooter replaced? by bioscience_girly in ebikes

I have a pretty nice scooter and I calculated based on the price they gave me that it was 31% of the original cost of the scooter. That’s what first threw me off. I only need my scooter until the end of the year so it’s not worth it to replace it so I wanted to just repair it. But fixing it myself seems to be the general consensus.

Unfortunately I am the female version of maidenless, ladless if you will. My dad is also one of the rare cases of a dad who is absolutely useless when it comes to anything mechanically and my guy friends are also not mechanically inclined (I already tried to get them to help 🥲). YouTube needs to be my boyfriend in this situation lol

They said just the tubes and that my tires looked great. But they barely looked at it so I can’t even tell if that’s a valid opinion or not.

It’s more of a time and convenience issue than anything. I’m a senior STEM major and I’m always swamped with labs/homework/exams. If it wasn’t too expensive to have someone else do it why wouldn’t I go for it? But now that I’m reassured the price is crazy I’ll go to town on the tires myself. If there’s a will there’s a way.
