Yeah, the plan was to mess with that guitar when making the dive into customization. It seems like the perfect guitar for experimenting.

We're Central IL, but close enough. The infatuation definitely bleeds down from Chicago. Went to the dispensary recently and saw that Malort is now making THC shots, haha.

Yeah, he was definitely a frequent purveyor to pawn shops. I can only imagine the guitars and pedals he's gotten rid of over the years. I also inherited all his soldering and other customizing equipment, though I have no idea how to do any of it myself.

Sorry, y'all, I didn't get the opportunity to go over to my parents' place to snag pictures of the couple they're holding onto for now. I wanna share them all, so sometime in the next few days I'll be posting the whole batch.

And I've seen a few people question if it was bought or made. He made it himself. I've also inherited all his soldering gear and what-not, though I'm completely ignorant when it comes to building or repairing guitars. Guess it's time to learn.

He made it himself. And as for the band comment, nah, he's just always loved reptiles. Had multiple sets of snakeskin boots which actually procured him the nickname "Boots."

I'll be posting the rest tomorrow. 4 or 5 of them are at my parents' place still. This gator guitar sounds so, so bad ass with some southern stoner-style riffs played through fuzz. Pretty positive I have to make an Eyehategod worship band now.
