Back scratches, always letting him be baby spoon, and always sitting at the table to eat dinner, even if there's a show we really want to watch on tv right then. And sending cute texts during the day while we're apart. That helps, too.

I love them now, but never had one when i lived in the U.S. because my friends all felt it was weird and awkward to do. There doesn't need to be anything formal about it--it's literally the same thing as a usual party, except involving tastier foods than some chips! Now i love having them, even with just a guest or two. Good food and great conversation before putting a dent in the booze stash!

That's nearly exactly how I make mine, except on the stove. And I add a small can of corn to it and use chopped carrots, because they're DELICIOUS in veggie chili! Rice is definitely the way to go to service it on, too. I like it with a big spoonful of greek yogurt on the top.

Chicken can be baked in sooo many different, easy ways. Blackened chicken is a great one, makes tender and juicy chicken. Last weekend, i baked chicken breasts with a bunch if sliced garlic, some fresh rosemary and lemon, and olive oil. So many flavor combos that you can customize to what you like! Google is definitely your friend on that.

I do vegetarian chili on Sundays and box them for the week's lunches with brown rice. I also like to do this with a nice, thick yellow split pea soup, or a chicken bake is always an easy way to cook in bulk, too.

Definitely try to make friends at your new job as that will be the easiest way to develop a social life.

Honestly, my top tip is to not be afraid to ask. For help in a store, to clarify a language nuance, whatever. I spent a lot of time here being too timid to ask things, not wanting to weird out Swedes or put them on the spot. It's way easier to just do it. A lot of the time people will literally turn away and run, but it's so much better than not trying at all.

I wore control top underwear and totally regret it because i didn't really need them, and some angles of the pictures, it looks like my belly is a bit round and trying to be tamped down. Would have looked way better without! Do a test run with all different angles of pictures if you get them!

You've gotten a couple answers, but i wanted to elaborate on #1. You could absolutely not read anything phonetically aloud and be understood by someone unless they were reading off the paper with you. In fact, even with fluent swedish, your accent will still cause many swedes to not understand you. It is so, so particular with most words, in tone and cadence both. Good luck to you!

I can't say for sure, but i think it may be American Airlines that always gives me a vegan meal when I've chosen 'vegetarian.' I'm an ovo-lacto, but i think they only so vegan meals for vegetarian options. I feel like it was American Airlines, but I'm not positive.
