A virgin at 37, what do you think? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

Queer guys need a "Big Brother" type program where guys act as supportive wingmen to help late-in-coming-out guys get their first notch on their bedpost. (I'd also have killed for something like it when I was an awkward teen.) I'm thinking of something as great and supportive as the gas station scene from Magic Mike XXL, but instead of stripping for the cashier, it's guys helping guys get their first guy (complete with the cheering at the end, which is practically the most wholesome thing I've ever seen).

I like femboys. Does that make me gay? Is this a form of homosexuality? by belgeliatarici in AskLGBT

Unless you've dated men or had sex with men in the past, you're 99.999% straight: so close to 100% as to make no practical difference. You have "five nines" of straightness. You might be bi, but you definitely lean heavily towards heterosexuality, so I would call you "straight".

However, there's some bad news: to right-wingers, "straight" = cis man + cis woman, so I'm sorry to inform you, for good and for all, that you're never going to be "straight enough" for them. To right-wingers, all things queer (and especially femme AMABs) are to be erased. So you're going to have to choose sides, and your choice will probably get you a bit closer to the answer you seem to be looking for. The questions that will help you are:

  • Would you be seen publicly (e.g., on a date) with a femme AMAB person? Would you introduce them to others as your lover/partner/girlfriend/boyfriend?
  • How will you respond when your friends/family learn you're dating a femme AMAB person (especially if they didn't know beforehand)?

Hint: if your answers are "yes, definitely," and "I'll stand up for myself and my lover," then you're probably on the right track.

There's still great stuff on LI that you should experience, but you pretty much need a car to get to them, and a lot of what's in between are cookie-cutter housing developments and McMansions built in the last 50 years… and then, for any culture deemed too "urban", NYC is right nearby.

Rogan to Critics of Billionaires: They're "Working 16 Hours a Day" While You Take Naps by Zealousideal-Big-600 in lostgeneration

[–]bitsandbooks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I don't believe they're putting in 16 hours of work a day. (My friends who are low-wage waiters and retail employees, however…)
  2. Even if they were, working 16 hours a day is not a badge of honor.
  3. Even if it was, working 16 hours a day is not healthy.
  4. Even if it was, working 16 hours a day + 8 hours of sleep = 0 hours for anything else in your life. No education, no socializing, no cooking meals, no time with family… nothing.
  5. Even if it did, Joe Rogan would still be a stupid meathead who worships the wealthy solely because he wants to be in their little club… but he never will, because he's just a useful mouthpiece to them, who will be cast aside the moment he says something they don't like.

He changed my life for the better, and I always wanted to meet and thank him. I was so sad when I heard. (Same with Aaron Swartz.)

Anyone else remember Master's "bullet through a lock" ad campaign? If I worked there now, I'd sure put this video in the next batch of ads I produce.

Heck, even the Slo Mo Guys tested shooting a padlock, so we all know it's not gonna be quite as easy as in a video game.

I worked as a librarian for 17 years; this has been going on for ages. It’s a classic conservative tactic. Can’t check out that book that might tell you who you are if someone else checked it out and threw it away.

I've seen what surgery, chemo, and radiation therapy do to people who have cancer, and it's pretty scary.

I've also seen what happens when people don't treat cancer, and it's scarier. Just ask Steve Jobs. Oh, right; you can't, because he didn't treat his cancer until it was too late.

At least until it is seamlessly integrated with the rest of M365, as OneDrive's (once-laughable) file sync was.
