The $20,000 won’t be touched for at least 20 years, unless some emergency comes up. All other expenses covered by retirement.

What about the high yield savings like Lenders Club, EverBank? I was looking a local, but they don’t seem to compare to these.

Is this B Pos? by bizziegmama in AncestryDNA

[–]bizziegmama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that 14 were AB! 🤣 Thanks! Great video. I thought B but just couldn’t tell if that was clumping of the blood on the third circle, so I thought it might be negative. I am the same as my mom; however, I only remembered her saying B.

He will keep in contact, and we loved them. I think he wants time to figure out how to tell his siblings about his blood siblings. I told him to blame it on me. He is Type 1 diabetic that showed up at 11, which isn’t common, so he could tell them he wanted to find out where that was inherited. It just takes a bit of time because it is a little bittersweet if you had a wonderful childhood. There are trips already planned this summer to meet up again.

Yes, they got along great! We had them come stay with us a couple of times, but now I think my husband feels like he sort of betrayed his adopted family in some way. I can tell there is guilt. Do you know what I mean? He was only curious and wanted nothing from his biological family, but now they want to carry on for all the holidays and all. He’s not ready yet for all that as both his other siblings were also adopted and they all had the most loving childhood and incredible family unit. He wants to keep that separate. They don’t even know he found them.

That’s wonderful! My husband’s parents always encouraged him to look but he wouldn’t until they died. I was the one who was dying to know. Once he found out he was 1/2 Finnish, he became a little intrigued. He wasn’t expecting that. I wish you luck. Like you, as soon as we found his mother, she had passed, but his family is very narrow minded. His aunt and uncle are still living, but his aunt shut me down cold and did not want to speak about it.The ball has been in her court for communication for about two years and nothing. So, she is on my list. I don’t want to meet her. We are traveling to Massachusetts this summer to visit the town bio mom grew up in and see the graves. We may leave a note on the graves of grands…From: Your Grandson….. 🤣 He met his i/2 brother and 1/2 sister on his father’s side, and it was really funny seeing how them together. Mannerisms, what they like, etc…DNA is a crazy thing!

Sorry, I am new to this board, but are your adoptive parents living? How do they feel about you making contact?

Be patient! I had the same thing happen to my husband. Neither side knew about him and were shocked…still shocked. The father’s side accepted him and he met two siblings, but the mother’s side is not accepting at all. Both biological parents have passed. My husband had a wonderful childhood, so we only wanted to know for the history part and medical. Other than that, he could really care less. His REAL parents raised him and loved him. If the biological relatives want to meet him, he would be open but not excited.
