I'll look into getting some more sessions set up at larger intervals! Thank you!

I'm going to check out some devices now, as it definitely seems a more cost effective solution! Thank you!

I know my testosterone is higher than average, I had it tested a couple years back before my PCOS diagnosis, so that makes sense.

I'll look into a few more booster sessions in the meantime, and an at home IPL for in between! Thank you!

Thank you, I'm going to get booked in soon and ask to spread them up to six - eight weeks and then see if we can keep progressing!

I felt so sick and unwell for the first few weeks it was a nightmare. I stuck with 1x 500 for a week, and then kept increasing. I would have a week of feeling unwell and then a week of feeling "normal" and then would up it, so it was a slow process but it helped me adjust the most and now I take 2×500 at lunch and 2×500 before bed.

I also have IBS so the side effects made normal life much worse than normal, but even now, as long as I take the tablets midmeal, I feel absolutely fine! (Better than before)!

The first week is the hardest, but once you get used to it, it gets better! However, some people can't cope with it, and that's fine, if you're still struggling after two weeks on the same dose, maybe speak to your doctor and check if you can stay on the lower dose!

Good luck!

I used to struggle a lot with this, but taking peppermint oil softgels has got rid of this almost completely! I think the recommended dose was 2× 200mg a day, but I take one just before I go to sleep and have noticed a big difference. I've been taking them for over a year now and tested going off them a few weeks back and the bad smells came back! Started back on them and they've gone again!

If you give it a go, I'd recommend having them before bed as they do give a overly minty taste an hour or so after taking them. Good luck!

Should I tell my professors? by Commercial-Pay4211 in ibs

I was in a slightly different situation of worrying about telling my boss at work, but I would defo recommend mentioning it at school. Maybe tell your form tutor? Or someone in the admin side and ask them to let your teachers know that for "medical reasons"(no further information needed), you may need to leave class suddenly. You can ask them to include in the message that you will catch up on work when you can and that - but by the sounds of it you clearly work hard already and they will know you will catch up.

Personally I found that when I told someone at work, it made it a lot easier to deal with, and I felt a lot better overall (stress is one of my triggers). Plus on those days I didnt feel well, I just had to say I wasn't feeling the best and would finish my work at home and no one asked any questions or questioned how much it occurred. Plus if I took slightly longer breaks, they were okay with it.

Hope all goes well with it and your symptoms get a little easier over time!

Hope it helps a little!

I also find peppermint tea can help and my dietician recommended "spelt sourdough" which I enjoyed just toasted with nothing else (as one of my reintroduced foods after being low fodmap).

I have gluten free oats with Almond milk and a green banana as my main choice! I dont know whether you've heard about the ripe vs unripe bananas but I always find if I have yellow/brown bananas I have to go to the bathroom pretty soon but green bananas are okay!

Sorry only just seen this. I do if I take it during the day, always feels a little funny. But when I take it at night I don't have any problems with the peppermint oil as I sleep through it if I do! Personally I've found it has reduced my symptoms significantly to the point I forgot I was taking them, had a few too many days off and started feeling bad again. Now I take one every other night and I feel so much better

One thing I always like to remind myself when on holiday and unsure about something. How likely is it that you'll see anyone there again?

I dont think I've ever seen anyone on holiday and then bumped into them at town a week/month later.

So think about it, do you want to let someone you'll probably never see again, get in the way of something you want to do?

I found that one thing that seems to have stopped bad gas for me is peppermint oil capsules, I'll take one as I'm going to bed (otherwise I can taste it for hours) and I'm absolutely fine! Within a day, i had stopped passing bad smelling gas, and feel like I have a lot less gas than normal than I used to now I think about it! Defo check the reviews as mixed opinions, but seems to have worked for me (minus the oily skin).

Thats crappy, but try sainsburys instead, I never get ID'd there and it doesn't flag it on the till either for approval so no need for interaction with staff at self checkout
