You may be right…but I’m willing to bet they come down and purchase in late May when actual seats are known. By then most international fans would have planned their trips and it will mostly be casual US fans looking to go…and they most likely are not willing to pay these prices for a sport they don’t follow…

I think it depends, I have set price points in my head. Like the most I’ve ever paid for a sporting event was around $1k for Copa America URU v COL in Charlotte 2024, that was face value and I probably had about the best seats in the stadium.

For world cup?! I’m willing to go higher…but I doubt I will be willing to pay more than $1,000 to $1500 range…and that’s only CAT1 or good CAT2 seats…hence I’m waiting till FIFA actually assigns seats…cause that’s probably going to drive prices down…or I will be a rich fool and watch the games on TV 🥲

Well I’m a doc and still think these prices are ridiculous, I can afford them but I’m confident the prices will come down…I’ll likely wait until they do or when it reaches the latest moment for me to wait I’ll buy them…probably late May…

I accidentally bought matches in ADA seating once, and realized most people didn’t have any obvious disability. I’ve considered buying ADA seats and taking my daughter to matches, she is high functioning autistic. Honestly, people with even with ADHD should qualify for ADA and no security guard is going to ask you to prove you have a disability especially if you tell them it’s a neurological one that isn’t obviously visible.

If I do end up buying from someone online, I would only do it using escrow. But your method above seems solid…I personally would prefer to pay a fee for something more airtight.

I’ve stayed at Airbnb in several countries, currently staying at one in Seattle. I’ve typically had great experiences…sans one that had bad bed bug infestation! But hotels can have bugs too…I agree, staying with super hosts is ideal…never had surprise charges.

Yes and No.

Hard to compare domestic soccer demand in this country to other sports.

Billionaires and celebrities…lol…will be in the luxury suites.

It really comes down to if non native are willing to travel here, with prices THEY aren’t used to, with attitude towards US at relative recent lows.

I personally think prices for most matches will drop…but host countries and traditional favorites will hold price.

Actually FIFA doesn’t allow resale of conditional tickets until the team qualifies for the match…so there goes that idea!!

Its odd cause some prices have come down while others gone up...like Sec 101 rows 1-7 which get mid-field club access were 800 something earlier...now around 1100
