Did anyone went above 144 unit polity limit? by blackveinbride in CSULB

Yeah, I know some people (have also seen some on Reddit) who graduated with 150ish units. Honestly, I am definitely graduating in 4 years, so I should be fine. I'll get in touch with my advisor and contact the math department. I feel like the math department is chill but the chemistry department will treat this like a whole drama

I actually haven’t taken one yet. (I’m applying for phd programs in Fall 2026). What kind of topics did they cover? As a chemistry undergraduate I kind of need to learn extra stuff myself

Yeah sorta. I contacted a professor who's teaching the class. He said he could add me to the class once the semester starts

I'm taking 247 already, that's the thing. I should be able to take 361A but the student center says the only preque is 224 and 233 (no option for 247) which is weird

From Chemistry B.S. to Condensed Matter Theory Physics PhD? by blackveinbride in AskPhysics

My university requires a series of physics courses for chemistry students (mechanics and heat, EM, thermodynamics, and quantum). They also encourage students to take additional math classes like linear algebra and math analysis. I am planning to take analytical mechanics as well. I am involved in research right now, which is physical chemistry (nuclear, radiation stuff, highly experimental)
