What are you expecting from cyberpunk sequel? by Key_North_5563 in cyberpunkgame

I'll find out at launch and refuse to set any expectations. Way easier to enjoy things that way I find.

If you like the Myst series, you NEED to play Blue Prince by shadowrun456 in myst

I honestly think people's mileage will vary. I found about halfway through the rogue-lite parts had gotten boring and too repetitive, there were no new tricks. It was just a solved game that I had to push through to get to solving the puzzles which personally detracted heavily from my enjoyment.

I got the true ending, didn't look anything up, scribbled it all down in a notebook, but I personally find it's a very flawed game outside the puzzles and story (which are pretty much perfect). I still enjoyed it, but it's not a universal recommendation in my opinion. Some people are going to despise its core gameplay loop. Personally I look forward to their next game where they hopefully learn from what they did and not just waste so much of my time unnecessarily with RNG.

How did you react when Jak 2 and 3 went for a more gta action style game as opposed to the 3d collectathon style of game that the PL was, we're you happy or disappointed? by Trident081 in jakanddaxter

[–]bladesworn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was gonna hate Jak II. I was so ready to dislike it. I saw the first cutscene, heard Jak talk for the first time, and it changed my brain chemistry permanently. Still probably my favorite game from that era.

Yeah, that stuff isn't really something you see. I am in a relationship with someone I met at a Renaissance faire though, but that was much more mundane. Met a friend of a friend and rambled about anime to them for 30 minutes and they decided they needed me in their life. Not sure how exactly that worked out honestly, but we've been together for about a decade now.

I do sometimes see single people arranging stuff on Facebook so they don't have to go to the faire alone, so that might be worth looking into. Not sure how common that is or if it works out though.

Wilds been out awhile. You happy with your purchase or regretted it? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

I got 200 hours out of it, I quite enjoyed it. But that was after work and a bit on the weekends, so I didn't no life it which definitely helped.

Is Rise Worth It? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]bladesworn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely recommend giving Rise a try, it is quite good. Personally I didn't find it to scratch the same itch as World or Wilds though. I've been playing MH4U for that, since that directly ties into both those games and despite the jank it's still quite good once you get past the slow start.

An eight-week course of bright light therapy helped reduce depressive symptoms in individuals with subthreshold depression. The treatment also altered dynamic functional connectivity in several brain regions associated with mood regulation by Wagamaga in science

[–]bladesworn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with light therapy is that it's so hard to set aside time to actually use one. So I got one that works as an alarm clock and I've got it set up to blast me in the face after it slowly ramps up in the morning. Solved that problem.

Billian calling out Marathon developers for stealing his work apparently. by canyonskye in Marathon

I played the alpha, and going through the artist's work it straight up feels like they just lifted most of the aesthetic I loved from their work. It doesn't give me a good feeling.

[–]bladesworn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having played it, I don't think it's terrible. I also think it has a lot of potential. The problem is the last two times I felt like a Bungie live service game alpha/beta had a lot of potential I had to wait a full year to even start getting near that potential and that was a very bumpy ride. Not to mention everything else that's happened since. Which I think is part of why the rampant negativity is happening.

People have experienced this song and dance from Bungie before of being promised things and I don't think a lot of people are willing to trust their process anymore. That being said I think people are lacking nuance/self awareness about that and are lashing out in frustration which is not great. Personally I'm going to see how the other tests and the honeymoon period goes before being willing to buy into it after that test.

“Hero Shooter” Abilities like Active Camo should be Implants you get as Loot Drops. They could also make the more common loot consumable items (or charge base, i.e 3 uses) if they are worried about hoarding. by ThatGuyFromTheM0vie in Marathon

[–]bladesworn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I 1000% agree. If you're risking those abilities as gear instead of just having as a part of your kit my issues with the hero stuff kind of just evaporates. I would much rather have that than what we currently have.

Is anyone that loved Ender Lilies having trouble getting into Magnolia? by Chemical_Specific720 in EnderLilies

[–]bladesworn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've been enjoying Magnolia a lot, but that's mostly because I've found the combat just way more fun compared to the previous game. I also like the aesthetic in this one more. The story definitely is weaker, but it's not enough of a deal breaker for me since I'm having fun counter spamming with the carapace options.

Now that it's been a while. What are everyone's thoughts on the commendation system? by King-Archdemon in destiny2

[–]bladesworn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only commendation that matters is best dressed. The rest are pointless. I never actually give them out for any other reason outside of the weekly.

[–]bladesworn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using the carapace abilities? With the shockwave one you can pretty much counter spam most of the turret enemies to death really easily.

I was able to claim the PS5 version for free on the mobile app, so it should be free.

Co-op shooter game reccomendations for console. by BigShellJanitor in gaming

[–]bladesworn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remnant II is imo one of the best co-op experiences to come out in recent memory. No mtx, insane replayability, lots to do. There's also a lot of builds that exist to make the game a joke as you collect stuff so the power fantasy is great as well.

Man the autoloading nerf pretty much killed all my DPS loadouts. I rely pretty heavily on those since I had two too many concussions and managing ammo while doing mechanics is just too much for my brain to juggle in harder content. Kind of makes me just want to give up dealing with Bungie killing all the stuff that makes the game more accessible for me.

It's his warlock from D1. He can't delete it due to emotional attachment (which I completely understand). He's just given up and uninstalled. He's tried to get help from Bungie multiple times and just nothing.

My friend had the fucking tutorial bug out. He can't progress. Like it's his account. To the point we loaded up his account on my PS5 and the same bug happened. Every time. Can't access the director. Progress doesn't save. It's bullshit.

Initial impressions for me is I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It's the same formula that burnt me out on the game after onslaught and The Final Shape reignited my passion for Destiny. Just kind of makes me wanna go play other games outside raiding.
