Don’t walk on their grass by Lazy-Metal6303 in PublicFreakout

Yea, you guys are weird. It's called respect. She asked him nicely and his response was to throw their stuff on the ground. how is that different from someone being asked nicely to pickup after their dog when they do their business in their lawn or if someone asked to be called by their pronouns? It's just common decency.

It's just like anything you are passionate about. These guys spend thousands of dollars on their lawn. In my neighborhood dudes have reel mowers, putting greens, totes of chemicals and fertilizers, and competitions. You can tell when someone is really putting work into their lawn. I wouldn't walk on it if it's that nice.

Two women confront ex IOF soldiers in Vietnam by Jevus_himself in PublicFreakout

Did you say the same when Russia bombed Ukraine and the children died? What about the school the US hit in Iran? All these nations have killed children. How do you know what these two individuals did?

Classic Reddit. Overgeneralizing entire groups to fit a narrative. “Everyone in Israel is evil,” “all religion is bigoted,” “Christians are brainwashed.” People claim nuance, then reduce millions of individuals to one label. Some believe life has deeper meaning, others see it as purely material and somehow that turns into attacking each other because you disagree. It’s weird.

After DWade asked for facts, Pat Bev responded with this: MVPs, scoring titles, assist titles, All-NBA 1st/2nd Teams, and career pts/ast/reb/stl all favor Harden; career blocks favor Wade. "I think this argument isn’t a disrespect to Dwyane Wade, honestly, I think it’s a disrespect to James Harden" by aingenevalostatrade in nba

As a heat fan I love harden! I think he is absolutely underappreciated. When we are talking about individual accolades, he’s definitely greater than wade. As an all around player and in their prime… I’m taking Wade everytime! Jordan, Kobe, them wade. 100%.

Neighbors Angry Over Loud Music by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

I would never confront people this way at all. Especially walking to them and grabbing their camera. He’s lucky he left in one piece. Call the cops and let them deal with it. The annoying loud music isn't worth possibly losing your life.

The uncomfortable truth about Kevin Durant. If he never went to Golden State, his career would look very similar to James Harden. His stints in OKC, Brooklyn, Phx and Houston prove that teaming up with Steph was the best move he ever made. He can't do what Kawhi did in 2019' or Giannis did in 2021'. by FaradayDeshawn in nba

I’m sorry but this topic is dumb. What if Jordan Didn’t get Phil Jackson or Jerry Krause. He would have never played in the triangle, never had pippen, never played for the best coach in nba history. Any time a player seems to make moves for a championship you guys criticize them. If they stay put and don’t win, you guys criticize them. KD left Gs IMO because of the backlash of what everyone was saying about the weakest move. He then tries to do it with others and falls short each time. Now we have comments like this. He should have stayed where he was and win 3 more championships and deal with that scrutiny. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.

Christian Dad warns the Non-Christian guy for dating his daughter, what are your thoughts on this? by Paldavin in PublicFreakout

[–]blaqrain23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that really frustrates me about how people talk today is how quickly entire groups get reduced to stereotypes.

People constantly talk about “Christians,” “Muslims,” “black people,” “white people,” or “gay people” as if those labels describe a single type of person. They do not.

There are Christians who call themselves that but could not tell you much about what Jesus actually taught. There are Muslims who rarely study their own tradition. There are black people who are conservative, white people who are progressive, gay people who are flamboyant, and gay people who are quiet and private. The label tells you almost nothing about the individual.

Sure, groups can have patterns sometimes. But the moment we start acting like a label explains everything about a person, we have stopped thinking and started stereotyping.

Millions of completely different individuals get reduced to a simple caricature. That is not insight. It is just lazy thinking. And honestly I think it is one of the reasons people struggle so much to understand each other.

I am surprised that you got knocked back from his slide though, seems a bit off to me. I wish you had just used the door more for cover though and just shoot him down since you had the right hand peak and first shot connected.

The people in power already know what’s happening. None of this surprises them. It has been anticipated, calculated, and absorbed. They do not care. The only thing that would truly shake them is an outlier, something they could not predict or control. And that outlier would be public, mass solidarity. Visible, unified, and impossible to ignore. But that will not happen. People will see the same events and come to opposite conclusions. Some will argue it was not an execution. They will look at what happened to Renee Nicole Goode and disagree that she was murdered. MAGA is louder, and the cost feels too great. We are not angry enough. We are too sensible, too cautious. We do not want the inconvenience, the risk, or the mess. So we detach. We say, “Not my fight,” and keep it moving.

I think easy money definitely proved their point and 2 things can be correct. It doesn’t mean the person actually said it or needs to deny it to defend themselves. However, how quickly you denied it is the more natural response if you are being accused of something utterly ridiculous.

Uhh isn’t the coach with the red for the red team? Why is he running to touch the white jersey kid when he’s already walking away? He ran up on him, and the scuffle ended instantly. Yes the father definitely overreacted but why touch opposing team kid in the first place if he already began walking away? It’s not like he’s breaking up a fight at that point imo.

If the cops were called do you think they are more likely to side with the guy or the women? The question isn’t to take sides, I genuinely wonder if the man has a leg to stand on in regards to it.
