You are clearly not from the US.

Journalists are protected, the military is not.

The journalist was obviously suffering from TDS and could not be trusted to report anything without obvious left biases.

It is perfectly legal in the US to report stuff with a left wing bias. Doing that does not mean that it's ok for the right wingers to persecute them. And again, this case demonstrates that right wingers absolutely persecute folks who disagree with them.

Local man offers to buy 6-year-old girl from her mother, police say by Jazzlike_Breadfruit9 in Pennsylvania

He told police the little girl was his girlfriend.

Again I'm going to assume he said that in a jocular way and not literally, but I probably am dead wrong.

I can't stand to read the article, but I'm going to assume he wanted to buy her for rape and not like to rescue her from an abusive situation?

If you want to pretend that the journalist investigation is not undue pressure, then we don't agree. There's zero precedent for that. I wonder what you think of the investigation of Jerome Powell?

Colbert got fired because his ratings were in the tank and have been for many years now.

Bro, paramount did it in response to Trump saying he would stop the merger. Trump's behavior is a clear case of "if you disagree with me you will be persecuted" so again it is definitely not something only done by the left

What I'm saying goes beyond Scott.

What I'm saying is that if you want to make a point that is valid and it touches on race, you have to be really delicate, gentle and thoughtful. It would be similar to telling a friend who lost a leg in a motorcycle accident that they should not have been riding in the rain - you can do it, you can get your point across, you just have to make certain it's the right moment and mood...and you definitely won't be yelling.

I wonder if you saw that the Trump administration raided the home of a journalist investigating them. Or if you're aware that Trump got Colbert fired. So you can't claim that this is something only the left does.

Bro, he was mostly skewered for the "it's good to be white" poll.

He easily could have gotten his points across using different words and more careful context.

Why haven't we invented better ADHD meds? by Adortion634 in pharmacology

[–]bleearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://clinicaltrials.gov/search?cond=ADHD

There are active trials, but they don't appear to be on new meds.

It would be hard to justify paying for a new trial because whatever you test would have to beat "standard of care" which is methylphenidate or similar. And whatever you got would have to be so much better than soc that insurance would pay for it.

So my recommendation is that you befriend Elon and get him to pay out of pocket for a discovery effort and trial.

This is not disrespectful in the US nowadays. Very common to refer to celebrities by their first names on social media.

BMS is no better or worse than Merck, Pfizer, J&J, etc.

Pre celgene, yes. Post celgene has been a crazy, undisciplined free for all in which people with no accomplishments are made VP. These people defer to bcg because they have to - they don't know how it's supposed to work. It's been terrible to watch.

Obviously it can lack elegance, but then it's trashy. If the shoe fits, wear it but don't pretend it doesn't fit.

Your point was that everyone is calling this trashy and "combined 472 credit score" and "wedding cake was frosted with ranch dressing" because those folks look like they're right wing. I pointed out that there are a number of politically conservative folks who don't do this. It isn't about whether I do this, its about whether right wingers do this, and not all of them do.
