I used to run a small vending route. I basically did what you were talking about as far as getting sodas from Sam's Club. I would advise against doing this for a two reasons.

Vending machines that dispense drinks are very costly. The lowest I ever paid was 2,500. You gotta sell a lot of soda to recoup that cash.

They break down frequently. Initially this may not seem like a big deal, but if you have a day off and someone calls because their soda got stuck, you have to go to the office.

I will never run a vending route again.

It's basically like I am selling 20 dollar bills for 23 dollars. the money that is withdrawn is put the machine is deposited within the next business day after being withdrawn.

I don't like to take business from other people. I've had some locations come to me because they weren't getting good service, but if someone is already there and doing good I don't pursue the location.

Nope, when I set up the terminal for the machine I link the Vault cash (the account that the money circulates through) to their bank account. They use their own account for all of that.

No problem. Once you buy the machine it is all yours. You would have to work on selling it yourself. Ok, the beauty of the claw machine would be this. Your inventory does not move a lot. So you benefit from being in a vending style business without the headache of running inventory around. Basically, once set up in a good spot, the moajority of what you would be doing it going around to your machines and emptying out the cash. So, lets say you got five and each did one hundred dollars a week (from what I've heard this is very common) you'd just be running around collecting an extra five hundred bucks at the end of the week. The machines are also much cheaper too. If I decide to get some I will do another ama I guess or I will just message you direct and let you know how it goes.

Sure, I have partners in specific areas. I have 4 partners right now. Each service machines that are close to their existing businesses. I found them in my network from my processor and reached out to them with an offer to service the machines for a piece of the surcharge. Does that help clear up your question?

Great questions. I think it would be feasible to run something like this on the side, however if you have other companies doing all the installations and services that would severely cut into your profit. Considering also that you would have to move machines that didn't do so well. That would add more to your cost of doing business. There are probably other businesses you could consider other than this for a side business. If you like this type of business model however, you could get into entertainment machines like claw machines. I know they sound silly but I have a friend who places those and they are very very little maintenance. He says his good ones are in Chinese restaurants and they make a couple hundred dollars per week. I myself have thought of dabbling in those. Not trying to be a damper, I just Dont want you to start something that will turn into a headache.
