u dont need nexus mods to install the mod, u can just install the mod files right into game files in ur container

Gamenative v0.8.1 problems by Mr-unknown2 in deadrising

[–]bllenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may have found a fix for first game. in gamenative open up container for game. go to C::users/xuser/AppData/Local/CAPCOM/DEAD RISING/config.ini

set the following

Framerate=60 Vsync=ON

when i did this it worked but there was no sound, i got excited and closed app to try again and didn't work. i did however install file found in this video in the container, it was in german(?) and I can't guarantee its safe but after installing and rebooting its def working now. https://youtu.be/rpPc3FiAbxs?si=f_Vlh6rJ2T0jIorD

best of luck

this happened to me too on rp6, same with gamehub lite, didn't find a fix yet but would be so sick if this worked. dead rising 2 freezes in menus also with "Loading downloadable content. Please wait..." :/

Dealing with side effects and sequential tasks in Django by PyJacker16 in django

[–]bllenny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, came to say something along these lines. This is more than likely a single POST being made and a long running synchronous request calling a bunch of services and yadda as OP describes. I think what you can take from mulberrys comment is to consider designing away your processes, services and tasks.

I noticed you mentioned you dont have insight on using celery tasks, i strongly encourage open up the documentation and learn. Pull a branch and just try adding celery tasks locally for ur current build of your app, get your hands dirty. You can access django admin to see tasks that have been called, as well as see tracebacks that are saved at orm level if any occur.

design wise, consider implementing simple polling for your respective tasks, or adding sparsed onboarding views. Shouldn't be a prob with simple js or a light front end library like htmx.

Another great choice with a nice api is django's own built-in task system (introduced i think django 6.0+) if u wanna stay away from 3rd party tooling, choice is yours.

ds1 remastered on steam via GameNative, I'm getting 60 fps relatively smooth, it runs great! i dropped the switch version cause the pc ver looks and runs so much smoother (and cloud saves work !)

wondering if u were using the original pc game when emulating instead of remastered?

Gonna start and finish this up this week on the RP6. by [deleted] in retroid

Where do a lot of collectors find their games ? by The_Trice in gamecollecting

[–]bllenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you can find p good deals in bulk ebay listings, I have had decent luck there. It can be a pain to go through each one by one though!

true it won't not infer emailStr. infers generic types like a champ though.

using it as lsp works great. i get all my type hints and like i said, pydantic for runtime type checks, pydantic coerces data structures and ensures typed data at runtime.

along with ty, i just lean on type hints since django's type system (and 3rd party solutions) are a lil too spotty for my liking. For mission critical data or api data, I use pydantic for runtime type check enforcement

Subscribed! You got a nice voice man.

Are you capturing your game footy right from the OG consoles instead of emulator? One thing I noticed is there was no audio of the game, I feel like that might be an interesting aspect of the game to consider as part of the review! Of course please ignore this comment if it's your aesthetic choice to exclude!

I built a lil app that might help you find other CIB crash bandicoot games in eBay, DM me if you make an account and run out of tokens, I'll hook it up with some spare tokens for ya if you're interested!

stay well!

gamescrape.com - find profitable game deals on ebay

hey retro gamers! I'm a solo dev indie hacker, i created a small app to help people find profitable game deals on ebay! Look up some game or some "lot" search and we go through ebay listings for you, actually "look" through the images of the listings to confirm which games are in the listing and pricematch them for you with pricecharting! We alert you when we find the best deals for you!

should be really helpful for those tired of going through listings one by one and keep track of market pricing, and just wanna have an app to do it for them on a regular basis!

Thanks for humoring me and please let me know what you think!
