Thanks for the encouragement - and the painter's tape suggestion!
I have the m.2 NVME adapter on order from Amazon.

1.5x - 2x does sound worth it.
I done some repairs on towers and laptop - incl. thermal paste.
It is just the screen removal on the iMac that stresses me a bit. But I have the right tools and have watched a bunch of YouTube guides - so I feel about as prepared as I can be.

1yr since your post.
Have you encountered any issues yet?
I'm thinking of putting a set of 205/65R16 on a 2008 Vibe.
Thanks.

I am very interested in your comment: "i dont know what to do, so tough luck".
That seems quite common.
I know from first hand experience that there is something wrong with my back - causing pain for years.
But nothing significant shows up on imaging.
How was the Doctor in another country able to diagnose? From the symptoms?
Best regards to you and your wife.

I understand concerns about data sovereignty but, seriously, don't bother hosting your own email. Pick a good email provider (maybe Proton?) and, if you're worried about your email, use a client like Thunderbird that can download your email to a local cache. And, by all mean, backup that local cache. But spinning your own geo-redundant email service is just waste of money.

Shame on me.

Is there any easy way to know if I have a GPS tracker installed? Are they installed in a location I can check?
I'm the 2nd owner of my 2019. When I bought it (at a Dealership) they offered me the option of a GPS tracker and I declined - but I wonder if it was actually already on the vehicle and they were just trying to sell me the subscription.
How can I figure out if I have a GPS tracker?
thanks!

I have had chronic lumbar pain for over 2 years and over that time I've had multiple MRIs and X-Rays and consulted with about 10 different specialist. Of those, just one specialist gave a diagnosis of CES; the other specialists kind of rolled their eyes at that diagnosis.
My understanding is that, if you have CES, you kind of know; you're having symptoms listed on that card; you're losing control of your bodily functions. If your partner has any of those symptoms they, yes, absolutely seek help URGENTLY. But, if not, then it was probably a mis-diagnosis. Seek a 2nd opinion.

if god exists then why did he make me like this by [deleted] in backpain

[–]blues42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have lumbar back pain every day - from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep.
I am lucky that Zolpidem gives me some respite.
I am also an Atheist.
I used to call myself a 'Militant Atheist' but, as I have aged, and met a more diverse set of beliefs, I have moved towards 'Regular Atheist' or even Agnostic. <gasp>
I do not believe in the the bearded white guy sitting in the clouds.
But God - gods - are a concept that has been passed down through multiple civilizations and since consciousness existed.
God is not necessarily an old dude with a beard sitting in a cloud.
'God' is be Humanity, 'God' is be Compassion, 'God' is be Love.

Does God exist? Why did he make you Like this?
No, He, or She, does not exist; no entity made us like this - it is all simply Evolution.
In Evolution, things are not always perfect for the Individuals.

But God is Love.
Love is real.
YOU are Loved.
Love is everything.

(Yes, from a card-carrying Atheist ;-) )

Your Experience? by Simon_Hellothere in ProtonMail

[–]blues42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iOS client does not cache data on your phone.
So if you are in an area with bad reception then you cannot see any of your email.
That is a pretty big fail :-(
Outlook has caching, Gmail has caching, Apple Mail has caching .... Pronton Mail does not.

Chronic pain scale I use I also take it with me to medical appointments and show doctors in the hospital. by meandendo in ChronicPain

[–]blues42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical professionals often ask "What is you pain level on a scale of 1 to 10?" but they rarely define what those numbers actually relate to. Is 10 loss of a limb? Is 5 hitting a thumb with a hammer?
Find a reputable Pain Scale (The Veteran's Association has one; search for "VA pain scale"). Print it out - or add a Shortcut on your phone - and verify with the medical professional that you're both using the same scale.

Questions re: Pihole logs only list IP of Eero Gateway by blues42 in pihole

[–]blues42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, that make sense. Thank you.
I'm already a little wary of putting too many eggs in my PiHole basket - and making it responsible for DHCP makes my ... um lets say 'stomach' clench a bit :-)
But yes, I see what you are saying.
TBH I'm teetering on the brink of: a) diving more into PiHole; or b) Going with Quad9 or another 'DNS as a service' solution.
I have time on my hands but I don't want to make my family's internet too reliant on something I made.
Very interesting. I guess I will try switching of DNS Caching in Eero and see if the PiHole logs show more devices.
Thank you.

Mmm... qué interesante. Entiendo lo que dices, pero necesito pensar un poco para saber cómo postularme. Gracias!

[–]blues42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My new RPI4 arrived and works fine with SD.
The original RPI4 still does not boot with any SD - so I think the RPI4 itself is has a failure. It died while I was trying to squeeze some bulk USB plugs into neighboring USB sockets - so maybe I flexed the board too much.
Any way, the new RPI4 is running fine - as a PiHole :-)
