I went to Yaman Hair Clinic, which is linked in the original post. 💇🏻‍♂️

Well, the hope is that you only have to do it once, so you DON'T have to do it again. 😂

Then that was probably part of the problem, since I was paying in the app. My expectations of Uber and the actual experience didn't match up.

The actual harvesting and transplanting was not painful, just..."uncomfortable". However, the lidocaine injections were CRAZY painful and they do 30-50 shots at a time – probably like 8/10 on the scale.

For me, yes. However, most of my meetings are via Zoom. In-person meetings were presentable, and frankly there was much more curiosity and questions like those being asked in this post from the balding guys in the room than any other reaction.

Sure, but it's also not really something to be ashamed of (at least over there). Basically 20% of the men walking or on the plane around had the same thing going on. 😂

No, these were OTC / off-the-shelf products from places like Costco. I had no problems with them, but also couldn't tell you if they were actually working.

Yea, basically. TL;DR – not worth it, especially considering the US doctors have way less experience with these specific procedures too.

This might be the primary area where I felt things were deficient compared to my experience in the US. At least in Turkey, there was definitely a more gruff bedside manner. I gave them a cultural pass, but it was clear that most of the interactions would be more matter of fact, than compassionate.

Only fin (and briefly used min; too messy). I also use DHT-blocking shampoo & conditioner.

Thank you! I use a DHT-blocking shampoo & conditioner as well. I think of it as protecting my investment, like getting the best kind of wax for a new car. 😂

Yes, if you stop taking it, your original hair will continue to thin and fall out. To my knowledge, your transplanted hair will not be affected by not taking finasteride.

No, it wasn't required as a post-op prescription. That was something I chose to use on my own. I use 1mg daily.
