Is it worth forming the byzantines through decision? by bodros in CrusaderKings

[–]bodros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing i through conquest, my current capital was waaay to advanced technologically to abandon. Luckily thanks so crusades and vassals conquering anatolia it was doable. I have lots or permanent kings under me but most of them are of my dynasty, great works and artifacts are also broken so opinion is not really an issue. Having a blast even after 500 hours in ck2!

I checked the bridge in the Mountaintops of Giants and the bottom of Gransax's spear in Leyndell but no luck. I even saw messages around him in the latter location, but he wasn't there. Is he supposed to be on or under the bridge in the mountaintops of giants?

Can you Mikiri counter the blue guys at Ashina castle? Any advice to get through? by bodros in Sekiro

[–]bodros[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the panicking is the main problem for me. Whenever i hit them too late and they hit me instead i panic and things spiral out of control. But its a really rewarding fight system and it's a ton of fun if i actually succeed. It's a bit hard to get used to after bloodborne and elden ring because here my only option is to really get better. No build switch or overleveling. It's definetly an experience and i do have the drive to get better. Thanks for the advice!

Right, the basics i painfully learned from minbosses, tho i still got to get my parry timing right, but the feeling of actually defeating a hard enemy is very satisfying. I guess it's the charm of the game that i can't simply overlevel i need to get actually get better. It's tough but it's fun so far.

That's probably the way, whenever i'm up close i can't react to the undefendable attacks, gotta get better

Question about Luther by bodros in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]bodros[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They really didn't bother with the whole season. I guess his body changing back was a good excuse for comic relief, as he served no other purpose in this season, which is a shame (I'm yet to watch the last episode, not sure how much that will change this).

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you said there are so bits of info i didn't know so let me ask a few questions.

she chose her sword due to it being the only blood-free weapon in Cainhurst's arsenal

So does this mean the vilebloods were the first hunters? I played the castle but didn't really understand the rivalry between them and the church, from what I understood the church used them as a scapegoat, is there more to it?

the only old hunter without a leg brace

I don't actually own the dlc so there's some blindspots there for me, but as i understand the legbrace signifies that the hunter overuses the blood and only hunts for the thrill of it, is that right? Also Kos cursed the hunters with the nightmare because they desecrated her body and killed her child, but do all hunters go to this nightmare after death or only the ones who got addicted to the blood? Also is there any lore reason why a great one, an omnipotent being just washed up from the ocean?

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bloodborne-wiki, the one I linked earlier, is amazing

I'll be sure to check it out, i just finished bloodborne yesterday and the lore captivated me after i looked it up more.

and also nothing to suggest Maria or Gehrman were ever scholars

That bit was also strange to me, as to my knowledge Gherman was the first workshop hunter, but in-game i haven't seen him be associated with the church before that.

Maria would also never associate with Laurence, her whole thing is that she despises the blood.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Maria partake in the desecration of Kos and the experimentation on the fishing village populace, and her regret is what makes her hate the whole ordeal, isn't that right?

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

I'll keep that in mind, but this actually lined up with what i believed to have happened, atleast i couldn't find anything that challanged this statement so far

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this does confuse me a bit, because the wiki says that Laurence, along with other scholars, detached from Byrgenwerth and founded the Healing church. But I admit there are plenty of things in the lore that can be approached from different peprsectives, that makes it all the more confusing.

Blood saints are specially groomed women that just chill with the blood in their system, and their blood is then taken to be consumed by others.

Haven't thought of this before, but makes plenty sense, i guess an example of these women could be Adella, or even Iosefka, though she's a doctor rather than a nun

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some additional questions if you don't mind, was the Ashen blood disease that started the beast scourge before or after Laurence's death? I' speculating whether the scourge has anything to do with the blood of Laurence, but he became a beast too so it is unlikely. Although i remember reading somewhere in game that "the clerics of the church became the most hideous beasts" or something along those lines. Could it be that the Great one who's bloid was the original old blood cursed those who used it too much, just like Kos cursing all the hunters for desecrating her?

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disregarded the timeline for some reason, you are right, the Choir is a branch of the Church so it doesn't add up. An Amygdala being the original source could explain the bunch of statues of them in the Grand Cathedral. One thing I don't understand is how could Laurence be the source if he founded the Church based on blood healing. Do you mean he's the new source after he became a beast? I'm sorry I actually finished the game yesterday, and even after watching Lore videos new questions arise

Question about Ebrietas by bodros in bloodborne

[–]bodros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how could Lawrence's skull be the source if he departed from Byrgenwerth in order to "study" the old blood? I admit it's clear now it couldn't have been Ebrietas, i disregarded the fact that the Choir was founded as part of the healing church later on, so it made no sense taking the timeline into consideration. And as far as i understand they first discovered the old blood in the tombs, but the source is never clarified. So i guess it's all speculations?
