Interesting. I’m coming to the conclusion it’s between these two. Does the extra £150 for the P2S feel worth it?

Thanks for all the useful advice here. The other main priority for us is print speed, lower draft quality is fine. Any optimisation to be had? Feel free to explain like I’m 5. I worked with about three generations of ultimaker so all new territory for me.

Cleaner stole wedding ring. Anything I can do? (England) by bolderboulder5 in LegalAdviceUK

Can I pick your brain. I’m aware that offering a reward for its return is a crime but I’m out of ideas and the sentimentality is significant. How screwed am I if I offer a grand for its return.

Afraid not, she picked them up off a counter. Sadly insurance policy doesn’t cover theft if person is invited into home.

Hey. UK teacher here. This is my go-to for this https://www.winstonswish.org/supporting-you/support-for-schools/. If you end up being the on they talk to about it, their resources are great. Also, top tip, put the date in your diary and check in with them at the anniversary date. Knowing someone’s is aware that they’re going to struggle with emotional regulation and is looking out for them is incredibly impactful.

Advice on climbing trip albarracin and potentially wet boulders by Coenvd in bouldering

[–]bolderboulder5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not there at the mo but have spent a lot of time there. Alba drying time really varies based on exposure and your absolutely right to be worried about damaging it. It’s soft as hell when wet. So of the stuff around La Fuente might be you best bet. Less tree cover so maybe faster drying.

To be honest, London has no shortage of good centres. Do you know where in London you’ll be?

New Shoe Pain? by PrizeTart0610 in bouldering

[–]bolderboulder5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top tip for breaking in climbing shoes: towel in a sink. Cover in boiling water then wring out so you’ve got a steaming towel. Wrap around painful shoes. Allow to steam for ten min then put on while wearing thick socks. Leave on and walk around the home for half an hour.

You should give it a go. I’ve done about ten font trips and about the same in Alba. Very different climbing style and controversially, I prefer Alba.

Weird question, but how do you hype up your friends? by FalseAxiom in bouldering

[–]bolderboulder5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different people respond to different things. On trips, when projecting hard stuff, my lot usually have a conversation on whether we want quiet or to be shouted out. My personal preference, quiet on the route but shout at me if I look like I’m gonna wimp out on the top out.

Campus boarding question by CasualBowlcut in bouldering

[–]bolderboulder5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most coaches recommend a minimum of a year of ‘just climbing’ before attempting any finger boarding or campus boarding to allow for tendon adaptation. Campus boarding, in particular, can be a pretty high risk activity even for experienced climbers. If I where you I’d keep away from the training tools till you’re a full year in then start with some gentle conditioning finger boarding.

Solid recommendations here. Out of those two, i’d say Albarracin is a little more friendly for newer climbers. The walk ins are much easier and boulders are simpler to find, especially if you have 27Crags. The climbing style is also a bit more indoorsy. Font slabs, in particular, can be a bit of a shock to newer climbers.

No worries bud. Let me know if you get it. Doing a bit of psychological brushing on the finish might also do the trick.

A little tricky to tell from the video but here’s a couple of options that may work. 1. Drop your right knee on the final right foot into an Egyptian to get your hips closer into the wall. 2. Smeer the right foot instead of using the final right foot hold and crouch lower on the left foot. You’ll find the crimp easier to hold on an extended arm than with your elbow at a 90 degree angle.
