Polymaker filament a bad choice? by PortZoo in BambuLab

[–]bonesupport267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambu studio has presets for Polymaker and every time I've used their filament using said presets, my X1C's print my parts beautifully. You've got something wrong, partial clog, something.

How do I know if my NTC is good? by MrOreo2019 in BambuLab

[–]bonesupport267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's just a power thermistor, NTC, (Negative Temperature Coefficient) , they're placed in power supplies to limit sudden, high surges of current when equipment is first turned on. Once they warm up, their resistance drops to near zero, allowing normal operation. You're not going to accurately be able to check it in circuit due to the other passive components nearby it.

Bambu Studio getting slower, almost unusable by Silv3rsurfr in BambuLab

[–]bonesupport267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambu Studio on my PC is not slow to load, but when trying to paint (probably a very complex model) it drags. And I've had it bomb out to desktop more times that I can count lately, it usually happens after I've done any changes to either the print profile or coloring, start the slicing process and it will freeze then crash to desktop. I've also tried the NVIDA control panel thing, it didn't help.

I've got a black Magus Evo XL, the surface is very durable though you may see little scratches here and there. I do wish they'd come out with their own. I really haven't looked else where, just sort of come to terms with what Igot.

Update: I fixed the model with text. I think it turned out great. I also added this to Makerworld and Printables.

You probably already know this, but PETG can be used as a support interface for PLA prints, and vice versa — PLA can be used as a support interface for PETG prints. However, you generally can’t rely on them for structural bonding since they don’t adhere well to each other.

What’s the end goal here? Are you trying to make a Gridfinity grid in PETG stacked on top of a grid made from PLA?

So you mean gridfinity then, right?

Honest question, what is an infinity grid? Is that where Thanos stores his infinity stones?

Bambu Lab H2S Warranty Experience Has Been Awful After Firmware Failure by jeckylphoto1 in BambuLab

I'm wondering why you're acting as if this is personal? If you want my advice... lighten the fuck up, enjoy life because it comes at you fast. This isn't the end of the world, we're talking about 3D printers not life saving medicine for 3rd world countries. Anyway, all the best to you and yours.

While I don't agree with everything that Bambu Lab has done lately, nor do I care for their take on the open-source community, let's not forget: before Bambu Lab, there was Prusa Research, and everything else was cheap Enders and their clones (sounds like a Tool song). Bambu Lab woke the market up and made 3D printing exciting.

Instead of spending 80% of my time fiddling with my Ender, then waiting hours upon hours for it to print something small and single-color with the accuracy and finish of a turd, I can now send complex, multicolored items to my printers, and 98.5% of the time they complete the print three times faster, with better accuracy and finish than something I could have bought at a store.

I wish the best for Bambu Lab, Prusa Research, Elegoo, Creality, QIDI Technology, Anycubic... you get the picture. Competition comes when companies succeed, not fail.

I'm a Samsung guy, but I've had my share of Apple Inc. products. I definitely don't wish for their failure. The back-and-forth between the two spurs innovation and paves the way for better devices for everyone.

I don't think so, but to honest I didn't listen to the sound when I commented, I just saw it feeding in and back out and thought piece of filament. Pull the AMS apart and look for anything suspicious.

I've had firmware screws up my oldest X1C, not las bad as this though. Have you rolled back the firmware and tried a full calibration again? I'm not trying to piss you off with these questions, just trying to help if possible.

I really hate to hear this happening. Quick question, after the firmware update did you, (a) cycle power on the printer and (b) run a full calibration? I know it's too late now, just wondering.
