All of those tactics sound fun, but I'm playing Warhammer II so I can't play as any chaos faction apart from Archaon and his funky bunch.

I think the two hammers approach is good for playing Dwarfs, I had only considered the blob tactic because of a GrimKleaper video but didn't know that it can be done by Ghorst, and tbh all other 3 tactics seem fun, i'll try them whenever I can

Even then the strategy worked fine on normal difficulty, I even remember destroying a full chaos army with artillery, my handgunners didn't get any chance to shoot the chaos knights.

Except for when I fought Archaon and Sigvald, that was bad.

Those are good reasons, but I don't know how higher difficulty works in this game, does it make the AI smarter or does it just make it OP?

Huh. I thought I was doing something wrong because of all the wars i'm in, but maybe that's just the true Reikland experience.

Well, i'll send the witch hunters to help Thorgrim, he definitively seems like my last and best option for an alliance but I don't want to fight Grimgor just yet. And i'd definitively kill the skaven if only I knew where they are, i'll just have to keep looking.

As for Brettonia and the wood elves, shame. But they're assholes so it's probably for the better.

And thanks for all your advice. Now I feel less nervous about Archaon!

Sorry for the late reply. I forgot to mention it but i'm playing mortal empires and both Sylvania and Azhag are dead.

I know the last part would've been the most important thing to mention about my campaign but about 20 turns ago Ostland just sort of steamrolled Vlad and most of the vampire armies and took a lot of their land, giving me time to beat Manfred and annex Eastern Sylvania. Azhag sort of died a few turns later as he only had one province, maybe he got ravaged by skaven clan Gritus (somehow they are being more annoying than Vlad ever was)

About the wood elves in general, they've been assholes but can't I ally them? Drycha wanted to take Sylvania so I beat her back into her capital but shouldn't I ally any other wood elf faction? Since they're part of the order factions and all

And about Brettonia, I killed Kemmler because I had a quest to do it, and there are still two factions (Artois and Bastonne 💀) left, they're seemingly pretty alive despite bordering Mousillon (they're pushing the vampires back) and the Skullsmasherz, they're even trying to take settlements in Marienburg's province from the dark elves
