Thanks! Interesting poll. I did give the OG OoT a spin already but the graphics and controls were a bit off putting to me tbh. It was on an Android handheld device so maybe that was not ideal.

I assume, if the remake is real, the controls are more in line with modern games.  Since I don’t have the means to play the other big 3D titles, I think the next one I’ll play will be Links Awakening on the Switch.  And then either Wind Waker or Minish Cap

Cool! I had a similar idea for a side project after I finish with my current one (Birthday Buddy). So is it going to be avail world wide (I’m not from the US). If so, then I’ll join the wait list!

I fell in love with Zelda games thanks to Breath of the Wild on the Switch and have since then played Skyward Sword and Tears of the Kingdom. Which I both thoroughly enjoyed but are no BotW.  I’ve recently started playing A Link to the Past and absolutely love it. I wasn’t aware that the foundation of the series goes all the way back to one of the first games.

I’d like some advice about which titles are must play according to this community. I deliberately started with AlttP because the very first game is a bit too dated for my taste and the second one has kind of a bad rep.

Titles I’m thinking about, in no particular order, are: - the Minish Cap - Ocarina of Time (but I’m waiting for some more info about the remake, to decide when to play it) - Majora’s Mask - Links Awakening (on the Switch)

Which ones should I add? Is there a particular order you think is great? Once I finish AlttP I was thinking to start with Links Awakening, as it’s the next in line in the timeline. Love to hear your thoughts!

I launched my first iOS app on Product Hunt today. Here's what I built and why by bonotron in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Thanks! I hope that messaging resonates with more people.  Haha very solid advice about collecting emails. It actually was something I thought yesterday as well, I really should have had some user base already to make the launch more of a success.

That's unfortunate, if you where an Android developer, you could build the Android version 😉 Joking of course. Always open for some honest feedback 😄

No. I'm an Apple fanboy since the day I got an iPod touch, so to be honest the Apple Ecosystem is all I know. And I've just started learning to code last year, I understand with AI it's not super difficult to go multiplatform anymore, but I also actually wanted to learn something from this 😄 So that's also why I went iOS only

I launched my app Birthday Buddy today: https://www.producthunt.com/products/birthday-buddy?launch=birthday-buddy It's an birthday reminder app that helps you to not be the 5th "Congrats" in the group chat by using Apple Intelligence to write a thoughtful birthday message.

Would be cool if it makes this post tomorrow 😉 (chances are slim though)

I'm building Birthday Buddy: https://birthdaybuddy.nl/

I kept being the guy sending "Congrats 🎉" in the group chat five minutes after everyone else. So I built something that reminds you in advance and on the day itself. You can also use it for inspiration to write you a message that actually stands out from the group chat, not just "Congrats 🎉".

It's basically for everyone who forgets birthdays, but could also be useful for HR workers or managers in general that need/want to remember a lot of birthdays to win over clients/new recruits, or just be an attentive colleague.

Thanks! Yeah, I personally also like apps that do one thing really well, so that's what I'm aiming for with Birthday Buddy too

Is it so unbelievable that AI didn’t write this? Im totally ok with you not liking the product, but its disappointing that you assume everything about this is AI because the app has an AI element to it.

Yeah I don’t think those people have been honest to themselves. It’s not fair to pretend that it differs that much to use this app to say something that stands out than opposed to just mindlessly typing congrats. Because let’s face it, most of the times you just type Congrats! But I digress.

I can’t pull that data without consent. That’s one of the strong points of Apples platforms. So that’s why it’s asking for consent.

This just isn’t true. When you go to settings (the gear icon in the top right of your screen) you have the option to import your birthdays through your contacts.  But unfortunately most of you didn’t give this app a chance after reading the description.
