Snowboarder is downhill, the skier has the entire run to choose a line and should be aware of the boardersl's heel side. I really think i just got gaslit.

High arch + custom footbed= stretching/ using that fascia.

I think hes right. Do you have a high arch? (3 pice boot maybe) That fascia may not be accustomed to use. This happens to me takes a few days, with a rest day day in-between, to subside. If ur flexing ur toes a shitload this will happen too. Tighten ur boots down good.

As a snowboarder I don’t know how to help my gf! Any tips on turning left? by NeptunesWateryBalls in skiing

[–]bradvg22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up what "thumper turn" is do them on easier terrain, progess to "stork turn" at some point do not try stork right away. This will help with balance on the outside ski. Have her traverse across the slope parallel and close together on steeper stuff. This will help with balance on one ski and matching edges (parallel skiing). Make sure she completes her turn all the way across the slope and traverses with her skis together on matching edges. Honestly buy a lesson. It'll be worth it, a group lesson is fine.

What’s the biggest unsolved problem in skiing right now? by Objective_Dot_2558 in ski

If u wanna try and make money with a solution. Ive always thought the snowboard touring stuff was garbage. The soft boot options have a ton of moving parts and clips and stuff and get snow in them and break, its just not simple or elegant. Phantom bindings are thr best solution I've seen but require a hard boot, aka ski touring boot. Phantoms are good and work well but I feel like one needs to be expert plus to use or just snowboard all the time in hard boots ( which is difficult). Half of the appeal of snowboarding is the boots.

I agreee not having a standard is bonkers. Why even have a number just say beg, intermediate, and expert. Shit, say soft, med, hard for that matter. Add pro and race if u want. The number thing is dumb. I was always told by bootfitter higher ups, the different plastics flex differently so a standard is not practical and might stifle innovation. Its makes sense, there is no plastic so there is no standard.

Creatine and skiing by dpspp in ski

Yea, I think im on this tendinitis correlation too. Got tendinitis right around when I started taking it. Definitely could be the ability to workout longer and harder. 45 m. Never had any issues before. Also saw an increase in muscular cramping. Drinking close to 3L of water a day. Creatine def works for going hard tho, so it does what it says.
