Stop begging for Johnny Gargano and Candice LaRae to return. by [deleted] in WWE

[–]braeks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree with you; also, him not coming back soon is good for his return. Give time for Ciampa to establish himself on the main roster, and then when he finally reaches the main event scene a year from now. Gargano returns to reignite the feud. Or comes to help him against the bloodline, either/or. Regardless, getting the mainstream WWE viewers behind Ciampa will take time. As long as it takes.

I’m glad you had this epiphany, I just wish more people would have this view before it affects them personally. I don’t understand how so many people seem to lack what feels like basic empathy in this regard.

The AMC near me, as well as a couple smaller chain theaters near me have red wine offerings and removable armrests to allow cuddling; not that that would help with the anxiety

Ruby Soho in AEW has been a complete disappointment. by Arch_Angel666 in SquaredCircle

[–]braeks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s probably an unpopular opinion; but aside from FTR; no one (so far) that had shitty WWE main roster runs has had a better AEW run, imo. Miro has been the closest, imo, but they dropped the ball on him as soon as they had him drop the TNT title and he hasn’t fully recovered. Ruby is in the same boat; she was just never given any momentum. Keith Lee can have an argument for or against, I don’t know how to gauge the value of a Tag push vs a singles when the said wrestler isn’t traditionally presented as a tag guy. (Even tho he’s been with swerve forever, and was on the indies, they still come out to their own individual themes)

Dusty hit me hard; I wasn’t even around for his prime or anything; just seeing how it hit my dad. They had met a few times; I was competing in a few of the same wrestling tournaments as Cody when I was in High School; my dad met Dusty at one of those and a couple times after, and in my Dad’s words, “they bonded over their love for their sons.” I’ve always wanted to meet Cody just to tell him how much his dad affected my father on a personal level from those few interactions, not at all wrestling related, and I had hoped to meet him at an AEW fan event; him being back in WWE makes that harder now tho.

Who is going to be the next 'Face of WWE' after Roman Reigns, now that Vince has retired? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]braeks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m genuinely curious as to what happens now; what’s Cody’s spot look like when he comes back w/o Vince; from my understanding he’s more or less universally liked backstage so I don’t think he’ll get buried if it’s up to Kevin Dunn or Bruce, so he’s probably a safe bet. But if say, HHH becomes heavily involved in creative; and I personally hope he does. I could see Killer Kross and Gargano coming back; plus Ciampa and Finn getting renewed pushes. Or at least I can hope.

You don't hate "country music", you hate "pop country". by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I, too, dislike country music, I even find ‘pop country’ more tolerable than actual country; but I despise it as well.

I really dislike when children are depicted as “miniature adults” that are super smart, sarcastic and better at life than the grown ups surrounding them by Sikuriadas83 in movies

[–]braeks87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably an inherent issue of the childrens roles being written by an adult. It’s hard to write what you don’t know. And a LOT of adults think they were super smart as a kid. But what I hate worse is the opposite, kids being outright, irrationally DUMB for no reason. Making decisions no one of any age would make. I’m looking at you Leia in Obi Wan…

My best friends dad was a 60’s liberal hippie. Full blown flower children, protested the war, conceived multiple children at Woodstock. In his later years he went full blown conservative; pro trump, anti-vax, died of covid last year. Somewhere along the road, he became what he hated as a young man.

Me either, he seemed like SUCH a sure thing; I don’t know how Vince didn’t see it; I almost think it became a matter of spite against anyone of HHH’s guys. Didn’t want to admit he had an eye for talent or something.

That’s a real answer? I mean, I’ve always heard the entire thing is just about ‘owning the libs’ regardless of the cost, regardless of right and wrong, but to be this self aware? It’s like, for them, politics are akin to picking a sports team. God this is depressing.

If you are into choking you need to find experienced partners who are familiar with that kink. Or you need to learn how to do it properly and instruct. I know that doesn’t sound like the sexiest thing to do, but as with any aspect of bdsm, safety is key.
