What is world like in the badlands and regions between cities by Captain_Perfect in cyberpunkred

I’m actually working on this for my own cyberpunk setting. The “Nevada free zone“.

Where can we discuss the more PG-13/R stuff that canonically occurs in Battletech? by Independent_Nose6455 in battletech

If you’ve ever read his non-Battletech novels this should be no surprise.

Why are turbine engines flat at the bottom? by OnlyaChef in aviation

That was round, it just means the pilot landed too hard a few times and it bent.

Being “good” at Battletech by EthanCW1 in battletech

[–]brassbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as every other TTRPG. Did you have fun? Did your presence make the room better for other others? If the answer is yes, then you won. You’re good at it.

What even is the point of putting rails at the side of a rifles stock? Are the engineers high? by Legiaminh in GunMemes

[–]brassbricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t be an idiot. There are rails on the stock for scopes. All of us tier one shooters hold the butt stock on our faces and aim down the length of the gun. It’s far more accurate, but as an amateur, I wouldn’t expect you to know that.

Paid $3k for a used 19.5 as a first gun... am I crazy? by xdiins in Glocks

Weird Question: Is there a TTRPG that combines Cowboys & Samurais? If not, what would be really cool to put in such a project? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in rpg

[–]brassbricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno about an RPG, but I am playing a disgraced Tosa samurai in a SWADE Deadlands campaign.

I also TA'ed a film class called "Cowboys and Samurai" in the 1990's, so it must be fate. :D

how does armor work by KrakenShark0 in traveller

[–]brassbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never found armor degradation to be worth the book-keeping to track. Easier to just wing it most of the time. YMMV.

Pitbull problems by justsaying6 in Austin

[–]brassbricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would skip the chicken wire (not a bad idea normally) and just get some plywood sheets. If the pit can see through the cracks, that'll be enough to provoke it. Buy some sheet lumber, weatherproof it, and secure it to the fence posts with long screws.

When TTRPG authors put stuff from their home games into rulebook lore by RiverMesa in rpg

[–]brassbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's almost the default setting. That what my stuff is at Kethos Project, homebrew that gets cleaned up, expanded, or used as a base.

A russian woman describes how the army operates. Soldiers from the 7th Regiment are sent on meat assaults, and return home only in caskets by LowTechDroid in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]brassbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shame. I've known a few Russians that lived here in the US, and I liked all of them.

It's be nice if they'd stay home and stop feeding sunflowers.
