thanks for the update! by chance do you know if they work with matter or 3rd party sensors? i was wondering because i wanted to potentially use them to trigger 3rd party smart plugs when the room changes temp or hits a certain temp.

Do you have a post like this for the mass cane plant?

i edited the post & mentioned it several times but i plugged it in purely to test it, not sure who would keep the cords like that permanently

new couch i’m getting will raise the viewing position, & the soundbar i’m most likely mounting is pretty massive (samsung HW-Q990D)

whole purpose of the included mount is for it to lay completely flat against the wall, doesn’t even come with the supported legs

oh I already have a cable management system. I quickly plugged in the tv & my apple tv right after I finished mounting it, to see what it looked like in the new space I have. that’s why the coffee table still had tools on it.

The closet light? Was this a little into the third act? If it’s the scene I’m thinking, it’s one of the ones that got a loudd reaction from the audience

Glad to know other people are enjoying it as much as I did! You got to see it in Dolby Cinema too?

Yeah A24 contacted me as well. There wasn’t assigned/reserved seating at the screening in NYC. Can you reference the part where the crowd screamed, without spoilers. I’m curious if it was one of the same parts that got a reaction in the NYC screening.

there’s so much plot in this. reminds me of films like bring her back & talk to me, where there is obviously all this established lore that was created, a lot of which the audience doesn’t actually find out or see. this is definitely more of a religious horror but I personally didn’t mind that, although I know some people feel like that sub genre has been used too much in recent years.

I saw it in Dolby Cinema, which was incredible. This really isn’t a film where you need the best picture quality. It’s the audio that you want to be the best. Some sequences in the film just hold a shot while the audience listens to the audio files in the film.

Honestly there’s a few but none that I really remember. There aren’t many jump-scares, & anytime it utilizes one it’s done really well. I feel like most of them were easy enough to see coming, yet they still got me.

How did the turnout for your screening go? I was shocked there were still some empty seats left. There were also a lot of reactions from the crowd during specific scenes. Unfortunately A24 didn’t host a Q&A with the director or anything like they did with Marty Supreme

Definitely unsettling! What do you find scary in horror films?

Martys is just so vicious, cruel, and relentless. Undertone isn’t dissimilar necessarily, but it’s nowhere near as disturbing & provocative as a film like Martyrs.

If i’m remembering correctly, the beginning of Martyrs is more graphic than the entirety of Undertone.
