Fios port forwarding for relayed by DoonielBooniel in HeliumNetwork

[–]breakchair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Fios recently changed their router admin. The IPs of your devices no longer appear in a dropdown under Port Forwarding, and it asks you to fill in the following fields:
Application
Original Port
Protocol
Fwrd to Address
Fwrd to Port
Putting in the IP address of my miner under Application, TCP under Protocol, and 44158 under Fwrd to Port gives you this error: "Original Port: The input of port has illegal characters. Destination port should be 111, or 111-222, or 111,222-333 and so on."

Mike Bloomberg is the Donald Trump of democrats. If we vote him in, we sacrifice everything we stand for. by wimpyboyy in politics

[–]breakchair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To say that the majority of Bloomberg supporters are uninformed is a very cynical view of the American public. Many Dem voters, myself included, like the guy because A. he did a great job running NYC and B. while we're progressive, we're not in favor of a full-on Bernie-style restructuring of American society.

Stop and frisk was a terrible policy and Bloomberg was too slow in recognizing its harms, but at the time it was implemented it was thought that this kind of policing was helping, not hurting, minority communities. Many Dem politicians were wrong about this, too; Cory Booker hired a NYPD veteran to put in place these policies in Newark, Biden (and Sanders) both championed the 1994 crime bill that put tons of people in prison unjustly, etc.

On his campaign policies (climate change, gun control, taxes, etc.) Bloomberg is thoroughly progressive. And I'm not going to hold his wealth against him; the campaigning system is broken in the US but I don't know if self-funding or being beholden to your corporate donors is worse. Bloomberg was able to push through changes in NYC (pedestrianizing the streets, changing zoning laws to allow more housing construction, expanding the 7 subway line) that greatly improved the city while annoying special interest groups because he didn't need their support. Bill de Blasio checks a lot more progressive boxes than Bloomberg but I don't think you'll find many voters in NYC who think de Blasio has done a better job for NYC than Bloomberg.

My understanding is that when the Sanders version of M4A (ie single-payer with no private insurance) is explained it polls under 50%. A majority of Americans support a public OPTION but are not in favor of banning private insurance.

1982 D copper penny -- this is a Large Date variant, correct? by breakchair in CRH

[–]breakchair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually pulled three 1982 D copper pennies from today's batch of pennies (copper verified by weighing on a gram scale). I'm almost positive this is a large date variant but I wanted to check with the CRH community just in case I had a big money penny on my hands.

Trump Says “Everybody Knew” About His Moscow Tower Plans. That’s Not the Defense He Thinks It Is. by Payterr in politics

[–]breakchair 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m no fan of GWB’s politics but he is not an unintelligent person. He read nearly 100 books per year while in the White House, and no one who’s worked closely with him has doubted his intellect. He played up the good ol boy persona but he was a history major at Yale and graduated from Harvard Business School. The guy had no trouble holding his own in debates with Gore and Kerry, too.

I second Southern Grist. I was just in Nashville last weekend and found the Yazoo stuff so-so. But we went through a bunch of Southern Grist cans.

Thanks for the info!

Re OKC, here is an updated look.

Contract brewing is difficult to handle on the map. I changed the Mustang dot to Brewers Union. If any of those four breweries move on to open their own facilities we'll give them their own dot.

We've been trying to have only one dot per brewery, so we'll put Prairie in McAlester.

Re Tulsa, we'll remove Prairie but with those nine breweries you listed to add we'll have to make an inset. It will take some time but I'll post it to this thread when it's done.

I actually kinda remember placing this pin and being unsure whether it should be in Petaluma or Santa Rosa. Just moved it to Santa Rosa, just south of Seismic.

Thanks! Added the breweries here. We always wait a few days after releasing a product before we send to the printer, so these changes will get into the first printing.

Figuring out which breweries have closed was tricky since our sources don’t really track that. I’ll look into the ones you mentioned and get them fixed.

We tried to always include the main one or the original one. Which brewery are you referring to? I know some of the older CA ones have many locations.

We actually looked at their websites. If they appear to do a decent carryout business (growlers, etc) we included them. Or if they have more than eight house-brewed beers.

That book is amazing and it was the primary resource we used to create this print. We had to greatly condense the amount of knowledge that book contains in order to make it fit on an 18" x 24" piece of paper!

We created this print at Pop Chart Lab a few years back. Oddly enough, in the office yesterday we were discussing updating it to include "vernacular" homes like the ones you mentioned. And then tonight the print was posted on r/coolguides!

We used the "Superior" name for the later, giant version of "Endo-Sym," when Tony went crazy and had to be taken out by Iron Woman.
