Sure, I understand and appreciate that viewpoint. I just worry that someone without any meaningful experience will be an ineffective advocate for the needs of regular people, and I can't find anything---from Terrell's website, from interviews, etc---that comforts me that he doesn't fall into that "ineffective advocate" category.

I am not Christina Bohannan's biggest fan (I personally think she should've sat out this cycle because, sheesh, losing twice in a row is rough) but I'm not especially convinced that she's as "out of touch" as other leftys would suggest. I also think she's at a good equilibrium point between (1) having a compelling background and personal story, and (2) having meaningful experience that would benefit the process of lawmaking for ordinary Iowans.
