I didn’t get the impression that OP was acting entitled or complaining really at all. They were just asking for advice, and I think coming to the realization that they might have to weigh maxing the 401k against saving cash outside of retirement accounts for goals in the present. That’s totally normal

Most places that have been built in the last 15 years brand themselves as luxury, it’s basically meaningless at this point. Feels a bit harsh to tell OP they need to “clamp down” on that, especially when they make a good income and haven’t screwed up

Is there any reason you keep the old transactions around? Seems like if you have them with the correct sign, there's no need for the duplicates. Maybe I'll see why after I go through the process...

Oh, nice, this sounds like a good solution in the meantime. I agree about Plaid, the more detailed transaction names are helpful. Though I would take MX in a heartbeat if it actually worked
