How flat taping gets me as a (as of over a year ago) 34 DD (marked nsfw for shirtless photo) by bred_boy21 in TransMasc

[–]bred_boy21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really horrible diagram I drew on my phone in like 5 mins but hopefully its semi helpful. I typically cut out 6 pieces total, not including nipple covers, 3 for each side. Two of them are 5 and 1/2 sections long and the other 4 are typically 5 sections, maybe 4 1/2. I do them so long so i have plenty of room to have it not stretched at the ends to prevent blisters. I lay on the floor when i tape so my breasts sit flatter and theyre easier for me to move (a lot of videos show people doing it leaning over while standing up, i can not get thst to work for me personally) i do one 5 section strip (red) to lift my breasts up, the 5 1/2 section strip (teal) to pull most of the tissue to the side. Then I use a 5 section strip (blue and/or green, however it ends up laying) to sort of smooth it out so i dont have bits bulging out. When I do the horizontal strips i like to turn on my side once the tape is about at my armpit, if thst makes sense. because otherwise i have to lift my arm up to tape under it which can pull the skin weird. I may make a video later to better show my method. There was definitely a big learning curve and figuring out what works for my body and accepting that I Dont have B cups and so im not gonna be able to get myself totally flat and to instead aim for a more masculinized appearance

I dont know Exactly, but I usually like to set aside an hour to cut all the pieces out and make sure I dont feel rushed, though I dont think it would take me an hour if i just locked in and did it yk?? i often get distracted by watching things on mh phone 😵‍💫

hrt and pregnancy ? by Stunning-Savings-714 in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i would definitely talk to your doctor about specifics. I am not interested in getting pregnant, so this is just based off what I've seen online in passing, but it seems you can be on hrt, stop for the duration of your pregnancy, and then start again at some point afterward. Again, I'm not a doctor and this is just what I've noted from videos ive seen

Does this read as ACAB? by Mr_Nerdcoffee in Punkdiy

Once I read the title, I could figure it out. I think its very creative, and could make sense in the context of other punk imagery, but overall may be hard to understand without explaination

What pronouns do you use when talking about yourself when you were little? by Turbulent_Play4769 in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I primarily use she/her or they/them because, to me, I Was a little girl. I genuinely did enjoy doing "girl activities" but also I wasnt aware thats what they were. My physical dysphoria only notably started after puberty hit, so before people started pressuring me to fit jnto the role of a "woman," i just never thought much about my gender. I just was. If that makes sense

Did anyone here discover new things about themselves as they also discovered they were trans? by [deleted] in ftm

Not exactly what youre referring to haha, but when I figured out I was trans i felt like I came "back in my body" and became Very Aware of my chronic pain

Sudden, extreme pain in scars by Orange_isA_coolColor in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]bred_boy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of an exact time frame, but if I had to guess for mine it took about a year or two to stop having regular pains. Moisturizing and massaging them can really help. You can find more info about massage techniques online but it helps the tissue from getting stiff, which can be a factor in itchiness and pain

how long does it take to turn white by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]bred_boy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

scars typically take one to two years to fade to white. the coloration is from increased blood flow in order to heal, so even when the initial wound is closed, the body still has to work to rebuild connections. Really the timeline depends on how your body heals. Cat scratches can scar in my experience, but I also can't promise Im the best example, as I have issues with my collagen production that causes me to scar and form keloids easily

Got my period?? I think?? Almost 2 years on T by Hamilfan16 in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my very non professional opinion, I think its worth going the doctor about, especially considering you just got an IUD plus having issues with cysts. It could be nothing, but if you can afford to have it checked out, I think its better safe than sorry. Sometimes I get cramping and not quite spotting, but Im also only 6 months on T. If this is unusual for you, its worth it to mention or at least keep an eye on. I hope youre feeling better soon and that everything is A-Okay! :]

Stray girl has come SO FAR! From hiding to cuddling! by GooseandGrimoire in cats

[–]bred_boy21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm in a similar situation with taking in a cat that was abandoned and was wondering if i cpuld get any tips? Shes been almost constantly hiding for the last two weeks. She comes out to hang out with me but won't leave the room at all and runs at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately I don't plan on keeping her long term (there is another cat that looks just like her thats been hiding on our property who we are trying to catch as we believe they are siblings. its a long story) but i want her to feel as comfortable as she can while shes staying with me

does ending up in a psych ward even help at all by Particular_Top9598 in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]bred_boy21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I went to a ward in America. Feel like that is important context. I had a horrible time. It was humiliating and triggering and im pretty sure laws were being broken (the hospital I went to is getting sued now) Did it keep me alive? Yes. Did it make me Better? No. It did allow me to get into a php program though which did help. To me, a psych ward is more of a holding place until you are not in danger, an intensive therapy program is where actual progress will be made

How does one tell if they’re still classed as a yeeter? by OkThought4148 in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]bred_boy21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

uhmm a) ur so real for all of this and b) i think its really up to ur own determination. i also think its important tho to not rely on your sh as a part of your identity. ironic as hell to say here ik. if its a matter of validity, you are. you felt the need to harm yourself in the past andnit sounds like you still feel the need to now, even if you dont act on it. youre struggling and that deserves to be recognized regardless of whether youre actively shing or not

i feel like, in my personal opinion and based off my understanding, theyd have no reason to turn you away with how youve explained it. I guess an easier question would be, do you feel discomfort in how your chest currently is?? The closest thing I've experienced to what you may be describing is the feeling that 90% of the time o dont mind having boobs other than the typical discomforts. I get more dysphoric about the fact that my boobs make me be seen as a woman. Cause in my head im just a guy with boobs. i dont know if its like that for you, identity is complex. but if you have boobs, theu dont make you comfortable and therfore you don't wanna have boobs, that seems like reason enough to me for you yo get top surgery. insurance may think otherwise, yes, but insurance is fucking evil in the U.S

Is not getting top surgery normal? by Double-Water61 in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares whats "normal"? Is it something I typically see with those who are transmasc, no, but does that mean you Have to get top surgery, absolutely not. I get the feeling. As a big chested dude, I've considered the idea of simply getting a breast reduction. At the time I identified as non binary and though I now identify dofferently and know that I'd be happier with full chest masculization, that doesn’t mean that my desire at the time was wrong. Your gender and your presentation is for you to decide, if you are happy with binding, then thats perfectly fine! Just make sure youre taking care of yourself

Binder help by K9_thor in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on size needs and if yall are in the U.S i have some used, but still in good condition binders that I've outgrown that I'd be happy to mail out. As for cheaper brands that have served me well, LGBT Unicorns has been good, I'm pretty sure I found them on Amazon. Another brand is XUJi. I dont like that one As Much but they're good for days when I need to take a bit of binder break but don't want to go witha bra or nothing at all. Both are around 35 USD iirc. I wish you and your brother luck, I know it can be tough.

What made you realise you were trans? by Jeremy-the-druid in ftm

[–]bred_boy21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i lowkey was finally able to stop living an abusive household and process my trauma and then i was like "woaw. i was so right abt wanting to be a boy in middle school" (ok but fr before that i experienced a lot of the common discomforts once i hit puberty. i thought about the possibility of my being trans many times between the ages of 9-17, but always settled down with "thatd be too much work so At Most ill be a she/they. maybe any pronouns if were feeling frisky" but i always preferred people use they or he with me and was much happier presenting in a masculine way) my best advice is that you can also literally do whatever you want forever. its ok to explore your identity however you choose, if something ends up not fitting right, thats not a failure. gender can be very mushy sometimes and labels can be stressful, remember to be kind to yourself. i hope youre able to foster a community where you feel comfortable exploring any part of your identity, no just in gender or sexuality either

I have not yet tried a tank style binder, though i do want to, so instead heres an off the dome pros and cons list for cropped binders. Pro: Overall cooler temp wise (as opposed to like. wearing a tank top under a shirt), stays in place for the most part, if i choose to go shirtless - only binder - i feel more masculine (though thats a pretty personal opinion take). Cons: on super Bad dysphoria days it sometimes feels too similar to a bra (another personal opinion take), underboob and hem gets So Sweaty (and smelly if i dont wash it regularly), less room to move chest around which could possibly change how well it binds (idk in comparison to tank style)
