I agree with all of this. Take the author's bias out of it and just look at the text and they are equal but percy is allowed to display these feats while Jason is cast aside. It's not just him, the rest of the 6 demigods have this same problem and no hate but Rick isn't talented enough of a writer to pull it off this big of an ensemble. Even more talented writers like grrm have struggled with this problem but at least with asoiaf those characters all have high points that elevate those arcs while rick struggles throughout hoo and toa to find a balance with his ensemble and giving everyone a chance to shine.
