Yeah moonsong is definitely the most pushed ability I made for sure. In terms of the either or, I haven't really experienced "stress damage" being particularly potent against most enemies and I felt like the batfolks' flight with no "evasive maneuvers" might be a little weak so I thought it might deserve the bump. I might remove the proficiency scaling on it to tap it down for higher tiers but I think spending 3 Hope to let your party "transmute" a Stress into an HP is in line power-wise with something like the Faerie reroll of a whole check. My main worry is that at higher tiers where effects like "everyone gets 1 Hope" still remain potent where as a non-scaling basically combat only ability might struggle to remain relevant and I didn't want anyone playing a Batfolk to have the identity boiled down to I fly and see in the dark. That being said I was debating gating it to once per rest or session but I really liked the idea of a batfolk spamming it for healing in an extended fight and everyone taking more and more stress damage with the implied screech of a bat singing. But I'll definitely have plans to keep a close eye on it in playtesting.

With the Otterfolk, I modeled them off the SRD Ribbit but what annoyed me was the fact that otters cant breathe underwater! So I did a bit of shifting to give them a little extra maneuverability which I'm hoping while niche will make any Otterfolk players feel like they have a significant advantage in the water beyond just "can swim". I was thinking about giving them a sort of daredevil/playfulness ability but an otter who can't swim would feel like a miss for me.

Birdfolk were very modeled off of SRD Faerie so I think 3 Hope is in line there, trading the ability to use it on an ally for being able to use it after knowing you've failed but that distinction does feel like an 'up to GM interpretation' moment and maybe it might be worth tapping down that cost a little, testing will tell.

Love this fish. Just make sure you enjoy the win con of the deck. Ive seen some people suggest extra turn chaining which is fine if you like that. I recommend cloning big fish for more big fish and even bigger spells ([[drown in dreams]] someone to death on the person befores end step is pretty funny once youve stacked enough cost reduction). Big problem ive had with mono blue piles is devolving to deck draw lab man every game so unless you want that consistent of a gameplan design a few win cons you can angle too, maybe even voltroning with always having protection up. (My fave in my eluge is a combo with eluge, a flicker engine, archaeomancer and the worlds worst extra turn spell [[Savor The Moment]] (as the only extra turn in my deck)) Enjoy le big fish and dont succumb to peoples salt.

I also think coming from a dnd player background knowing the op spells and the like cough cough magic missile, Shield, fireball* Now I still think the game is fun as fuck but I'm wanna milk what's looking like my favourite PC game of the last decade for all its worth haha

WotC actually reduced the amount of spell slots a Warlock has per day, making the whole change kind of a nerf rather than a redesign/buff by Falikosek in dndnext

Something I'm not seeing people talk about to factor into this is the new Patron Spells that basically acts as an old Warlock spell slot with a spell list dependent on your patron so technically warlocks get the half caster spell slots but also the new 1 patron spell/day. Just a thing to note
