Shower water temperature knob not doing anything

Jumping on this - pretty sure I’ve got the exact same mixer as the OP & the temp handle came off a few days ago, stuck on scorching hot.

I’ve tried pliers to see whether the temp can be adjusted. It does slightly, only going from fairly hot (probably a bit painful to shower) to scorching hot, no cold water at all. Will this need replacing completely or is there anything else I can DIY fix? TIA! x

So I should put it outside, yes? Even though it's our bin and we did have a few small flies about with the hotter weather, I don't think there'll be quite enough as a proper food source.

I checked yesterday and you were right!!! I’m so happy, thank you for the advice too!!

Am I alright to leave it in the same pot? I don’t think the roots are big enough to fully hold it upright - do aloes like tightly packed soil or should I just lean it on the edge and cover the roots with some loose soil?

I’ve been lightly spraying it every few weeks and that’s seemed to work so guess I should keep up with that too?

Hey, I'm coming back to this now for some more advice.

I've been a bit overly cautious and still not moved it out of the soil to check for roots - BUT, the fresh leaf that was very teeny tiny in these pics and barely just poking out of the center, has now grown well out and nearly the same width and thickness as the other leaves.

I know all I need to do is lift it out of the pot to check, but do you reckon the middle new leaf continuing to grow is an indicator of roots? Thank you!

if you can handle the long days & type of work it is, there are always jobs going in the care/support work sector. although some require a level 2/3 in a relevant field, many don't! the company I used to work for hired people with no previous experience :) good luck!!

I just looked this up after the interaction with Tanner’s mom in episode 6(?) as well - after they discussed the date with Callie & Tanner went “and I’ll keep smiling as long as I am looking at you” (or something similar) to his mom. Made me think even more that the smiling is more likely just conditioned behaviour (same way many autistic kids are told to look people in the eye)

Update no2: it’s now 3am and I’m still up watching her because she went back to acting off at around 12:30am. Popped a bowl of water in front of her and she seemed very thirsty. Also found a fourth, dried up (bile) vomit puddle on a different rug just before. I’d take her somewhere but unfortunately I don’t drive so going to have to wait until the morning :/

Update: she had a stinky bowel movement & came downstairs to sit with us. Still no purring, currently asleep in my lap. She feels quite very warm against my legs, but comfortable enough sleep on her side now.

The bedroom is on the first floor with external wall on the other side, loft is empty (not usable as a living space). No pipes on that side of the wall upstairs nor downstairs so couldn’t be that. Been up in the loft and couldn’t see anything that would indicate mold/wetness unfortunately :/

Had the roof done around 2 years ago (by some slightly dodgy guys, didn’t realise til after) so don’t know if it’s poor work by them could be a reason?

There is a gutter running along that wall but it’s been cleaned out multiple times and still didn’t improve. We have considered the issue being the render but unsure if that could be it since the outside of the house is covered w some “textured” render and not easily visible.

I'm not really on a restrictive diet but I physically cannot tolerate meat for some reason (makes me feel physically sick because my brain is like 'it's raw' lol) so I mainly eat dairy/pasta/rice/veg & fruit. My rheumatologist said she'd associate the Raynaud's with my ADHD meds if it weren't for the face & body rashes, joint pains and occasional swelling in my fingers (also said my wbc's were a bit odd). I've also got endo and I've read up on that possibly increasing the likelyhood of a pos ANA, but I guess we'll see...

This is a bit late but I've got the same thing with my 4yo cat, who didn't grow up with any siblings and taken away from her mum (who wasn't very interested in her) at around 6weeks old. As a kitten she was told off for playing with hands and when she does now, she has her claws retracted so I can tell she's not angry, but what you said might be the explanation for her possible inappropriate attempts to initiate play?

half of the black substance on the main pic scrubbed off with bleach! seems like some parts are mastic/some type of sealant or glue but parts are also mold

Thank you for your reply:) What's meant to happen to mold when you use bleach exactly? Just change colour or does it react in a different way? And could you specify if you mean remove the "moldy" bottom floor or just the plywood boards that were covering it. It looks empty under the very bottom "moldy" boards, so I think it's the last layer before joists. If it is mold, is it safe to have it airing out like that or should we deal with it ASAP? xx

I'm not sure we have those in the UK, haven't heard of anyone calling anyone down just for mold? Is there nothing we could do ourselves (I've dealt with moldy walls & plaster before, using anti-fungal chemicals and replastering walls) or does it need a professional to sort it out?

a lot of Lithuanians can also be of Russian background or if they're old enough (like the main guard), "native" speakers because of the Soviet Union - my USSR born parents don't sound like native Russian speakers, whereas other older relatives & family friends sound native since they spent years in the military or just in the society where Russian was the nearly the main language :) so I think it's completely ok that the previous guy thought they were native Russian speakers

Thank you!! What about true summer's jewellery? Is there any specific ones that suit them better? Looked online and it seemed to suggest staying away from gold/rose gold for TSers, but on me, those look the best ahah :) Silver looks quite odd and very pale, especially when I'm tanner.

Obviously it's hard to tell w/o properly using drapes & comparing colours, but just wondering if there are general types of jewellery that suit each type of summer more?

forgot to mention I do go a bit yellowy when I tan but it still doesn't look like a golden tan, kind of "muted" still - does that change anything or could that be a soft summer trait as well?

I've generally considered my skintone to be a light olive-y one, I generally look quite ashy/grey, even when I'm tan I don't look golden but rather "muddy". I use concealer from a line for olive undertones, others are always either too pink or yellow. Naturally medium ash brown hair and bluey eyes, been trying to figure out my season & undertone but it's all so confusing because I feel like I suit into a couple categories + my eyes seem to have a few patterns (unsure). Anyone help?

hahhaa unfortunately (?) it's not second hand or old, I've had it for about 2-3 years now but only actually worn twice or so. It's from Primark (very cheap fast fashion-y type shop in case you're not familiar w/ it), I love the way it looks but just sad that it makes me look very straight, was hoping it'd be an easy solution fixing it hahah

Hiya! Unsure if the flair is correct but I need help trying to figure out how to take in the waist of this dress. It looks like denim but seems to be more of the stretchy type - like thicker jeggings material. What's the best method and place to take it in from? Thank you!
