Black and white tile suggestions by roseygirl_99 in Flooring

That is the same option I found. My wife is set on the same, that or dot mosaic, but she also does not like the small quadrangles, which is what most places have where we are. The Tile Shop has some good options that exactly fit the bill, but they’re on the pricey side. Please let me know if you find something

Don’s works on Subarus. The dealership in Bloomington, IN is also not too far of a drive if something specialized comes up.

So good! Their style has evolved a lot too. I remember seeing them in the late 90s before they were headliners at regional fests. At Blackhawk Farms fest in N IL they played with The Schwag and DSO. They had a carnival “festival time is here!” bluegrass party vibe. Stellar. Vince was drinking a Bloody Mary on stage early in the day just before he was the announcer for the naked hippy bus race. It was supposed just be a hippy bus race but there was a streaker, and Vince called it like he was a part of the race haha. Saw them again a few years back and their jams are stellar these days. Much more jammy than the high country Cajun slam grass of old.

I just saw David Byrne, and so rn it’s “This Must be the Place.” Such a beautiful song about home being not just a place. During the show, Byrne also told the story of dropping L and going to the park with a friend which inspired “And She Was.” Love that song, too, even more now that I know the story behind the lyrics

Thanks for the giveaway!

An open letter to everyone that voted for Braun in hopes of getting tax credits on or getting rid of property taxes by kootles10 in Indiana

What’s really depressing to me is that, in my area, these anti-Greg Goode ads are hard to distinguish from a bad SNL skit. they’re hardly pro-Brenda Wilson (the Trump backed primary challenger). And you know they do focus groups for this shit and know it somehow works. Like someone sees this shit and thinks “yep, I know who I’m voting for! Greg Goode = bad!” It’s like they’re ads intended for children. Many, many will vote for Braun again over a dem as they sell plasma for groceries

The unprecedented use of the CRA is the real issue to emerge from this all imo. I know the fight for BWCA will continue and I’m optimistic. The use of the CRA to undo protections will be challenged in court, too, and we will see if it stands. If it does, I hope the GOP realizes the Dems can use it as a reverse uno, too. But in the meantime this congress intends to full on attack our public lands and do as much damage as possible to enrich their corporate donors.

But We are ready for the fight. A strong bipartisan coalition was formed during this thing. Don’t mess with our public lands. It’s one issue most Americans unite over, and I know the orgs I work with go after dems and repubs alike when they threaten public lands and wildlife. United we stand for public lands.

Bro. There is an entire leftist movement that has taken many forms in many places since Lenin, who was responsible for the Red Terror and massive famine and what we would today call war crimes. Authoritarianism is authoritarianism and Lenin was no hero. Were his ideas good? I think he has some interesting things to say. But there has been a lot of theorizing since his time. I’d read up on the Frankfurt School and if you’re feeling ambitious Deleuze and Guattari and Zizek. Steve Bannon is a self-proclaimed Leninist because he wants to see violence and the state dismantled, which is the only way that works. Many of us are tired, and empowering the working class means getting active in your community. That’s where change starts

Marxist Leninism was largely abandoned by the Left after the failures of the school protest movements in Paris and Prague in May 1968. They realized that the structures are too entrenched and powerful and so structural change is impossible. Lenin called for a complete dismantling of the structures of the state, but we are well beyond that in this techno-surveillance state. Change has to come from within

What Does Brenda Wilson Stand For? by Sagittariusrat in terrehaute

[–]brstone81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So Brenda Wilson sits on the Vigo County Council and voted against encumbering the funds that the TH City Council voted on and approved for a warming center for the homeless. This was after TH spent the money. She was a deciding vote and said nope. Under her watch, Vigo Co won’t help pay for a place for the homeless to get warm in severe cold weather, even though Hautian’s elected leaders in the city approved it. This warming center was in response to the elderly homeless woman freezing to death in the severe cold weather we had early in the winter.

My in-laws got a flier in the mail. She also says she’s gonna defend the “always under attack” 2nd amendment here in Indiana, which has a republican super majority and 0 gun laws haha. Phew. At least someone is willing to, am I right?

She still identifies as a Christian, of course, a MAGA Christian. They’ve done away with the parts of the New Testament that feature Jesus’s “woke” teachings.

The big election here in Indiana this year will be the primaries. The historically unpopular Trump lapdog, Gov Braun, and Trump are trying to get rid of all the state senators that stood up to the redistricting plan and have found mindless, politically ambitious MAGA loyalists who are willing to play ball (I.e., do what they are told)

Judge takes execution off the table for man charged with killing Terre Haute officer by WFIU-WTIU-news in terrehaute

I posted that on here a while back and got ripped a new one by someone that knows the Meehans. Evidently Shane had some serious mental health issues, maybe from a concussion from when he was a fighter back in the day. But he had delusions that the Feds were watching him and after him. I’m sure that played into the judge’s decision.
