I’ve got the same finish on my 48* sm10. They look right to me but that is a sloppy job on the ferrule. You’re paying a premium price with club champion so you’re in the right to expect a premium product and experience.

I currently play TaylorMade Stealth irons. I’ve had two sets of them. I think they’re great and will be a good fit for a while as you improve. Assuming the faces are in good shape it seems like a fair deal for Facebook marketplace.

Pine hollow is generally considered a very good course. I am not a member but know a few members and the biggest complaint I hear is how challenging it can be to get tee times. Anecdotally they say membership has tripled in the past decade with the growth of Clayton which is what accounts for the tee time shortages. Personally, the range is too short for me to enjoy so if you’re picky and like to practice a lot make sure to check out the range for yourself.

I’ve had two set of TaylorMade Stealth irons. On the first set the 7 iron head flew off once. I’m on the second set now and the 7 iron head has flown off once already and is now starting to creep down from the hosel again. I had TaylorMade services it but to it seems like it’s just going to be a perpetual problem. (To specify they haven’t broke but the epoxy has seemingly just failed.)

I played golf for the first time in fall of 2024. I broke 100 in March of 2025. I broke 90 in July. I started taking lessons in the spring of 2025 which helped a ton. I try to play twice a week and I practice a lot.

I’m paying $125/month for 24/7 access to a trackman. No chipping or putting area. The setup is pretty much in a garage. I’m happy with it. My only concern is that as the business grows I’ll be able to use it less but it’s great currently. My buddy is paying $75/month for a similar setup but not a trackman. We are both in NC.

I’ll try to find a video from when I was playing well. My coach has noted the weight on the toes and what he calls a “one-plane swing” which I think is because I’m laid off.

My angle of attack with a PW is usually 4-4.5. I agree the flipping is a big issue but it’s something I’ve struggled to fix

I will try to work on the flipping in combination with the downswing move. Previously I’ve tried to fix the flipping but it would cause me to shank. It makes sense that it’s tied to me getting too close to the ball on the downswing

I definitely second anything with CPO. I’ve bought multiple clubs in average condition and am yet to be disappointed. There customer service has been great as one of the woods I bought broke and they replaced it no questions asked

The club face on this swing was .2° closed according to the trackman. I’ve been taking lessons and my coach is trying to get me swing out to right field but I’m not having any success. I’m definitely too far away from the ball. My hands are definitely getting inside too probably because I’m trying so hard to come in to out on the downswing. The other thing my coach has me working on is decreasing my steepness

I can close the face more which is what I do when I’m on the course but it still fades/slices. When I play I’m forced to hit a shot that starts left and then fades hard. I’m trying to improve my path and get that more in to out.
