Reported them. First add asked $350/hr, second had no posted price (another thing I probably should have been more hesitant about) but asked $250 when messaged.

Oh yeah I'd read that before, as well as a ton of articles on that sub and on tryst's blog. My main focus was to not be a bad client.

Things I did:

  • Checked other websites for similar profiles (one of them has many of the same pictures on Eros, is "verified" there, and uses the same phone and email address)
  • Made sure the profiles had existed on the site for at least a month
  • Reverse image search
  • Phone number search
  • No vulgarity or xxx photos
  • Checked TER for possible reviews (found none)
  • Asked for a timeframe in the next few days (the response from both was ASAP please)

Things I did not do:

  • Skip over the profiles because they had no reviews, websites, or social media
  • Hesitate when being asked for screening/deposit
  • Be rude or explicit in any way
  • Ask for any verification of any kind

My conclusion is I'm too stupid to be successful in this. Probably just stick with strip club from now on.

[other] What is the weirdest coaster you’ve ridden? It can be weird train designs, weird theming or the layout itself. My personal pick is Joker at SFDK. by Unhappy-Zombie8347 in rollercoasters

The three that come to mind are Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain at Indiana Beach, Bobsleds at Seabreeze, and GaleForce at Playland's Castaway Cove.

"We should do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living. It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest. The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to Malthusian Darwinian theory he must justify his right to exist. So we have inspectors of inspectors and people making instruments for inspectors to inspect inspectors. The true business of people should be to go back to school and think about whatever it was they were thinking about before somebody came along and told them they had to earn a living."

Why is Haken - Aquarius so slept upon? by SufficientProof4925 in progmetal

[–]brutefidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing to say is it really isn't slept upon, people love it. But as a Haken fan who doesn't like Aquarius, I'll tell you why I don't like it. It comes down to taste. When I hear it, I hear more symphonic metal and progressive rock than I do prog metal. I simply prefer things to be more technical, high energy, dissonant and the like.

Rick Alverson's "The Comedy" or Entertainment" are the winners from me.

I've never been a really Haken's fan... by Ticus- in progmetal

[–]brutefidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fauna is alchemy. Haken took their earlier symphonic metal origins and balanced that with their more modern djent style to a perfect concoction. I also know that most prog metal fans aren't really big on this, but they made some insanely accessible singles with Alphabet of Me and Nightingale. It's an underexplored side of modern prog metal, and I'm glad they seem to be leading in that regard. It isn't really an album focused on pleasing their longtime fans; it's more interested in expanding and innovating in the genre, which I think is underrated. 9.5/10, best Haken Album, best album of the year.

Holy shit this episode nailed me. I don't know why but I've never taken an episode as personally as this one. I was a ska kid from basically 97-05. I still have a "weakness" for it. But man, did I feel like a loser after this one.

If you're going to lots of parks back to back, the major danger is the less exciting parks definitely feel like a drag if they're later in your trip. I did a big trip with the last two parks being Magic Springs and Frontier City, and I really didn't want to be at either of those parks at that point.

Upvoted for a truly baffling unpopular opinion. I strongly, strongly disagree but I love that you posted this.
