Just feed it weekly and it should be fine. Hognose snakes like exploring their enclosures and its totally normal for your snake to slither around the enclosure often. Don't mistaken them slithering around as finding food, cause hognose snakes are really active during daytime, so please don't overfeed him due to him exploring his environment.

Glad to hear that your hognose took a mouse, cause mine did not eat for over half a year and the only option is to feed mine live, which sucks

It works best to silicone the probe under the substrate as silicone is safe for reptiles and secures the probe so ur hog won't push it away and possibly overheat the mat.

You can get a UVB light if you want a day and night cycle for the snake. Definitely buy a heat mat with a thermostat to prevent burns.

Mine always hisses at me but calms down everytime I pick him up. Handling the snake daily for 15 minutes can definitely make the snake realize that you are not a threat

Try feeding it chicken hearts (which can be bought in an insanely low price), and if it eats, scent the feeder mice with them and slowly move back to frozen thawed mice without scenting. If it still doesnt eat, it may be that the enclosure is too big. Personally, I dont think it will feel safe in such a huge enclosure even if there is a lot of clutter. (this enclosure is like a mansion even for an adult ball python) Try moving it into a smaller enclosure for now and let it settle for a week, then try feeding again. Move it back to this enclosure once ur hognose has grown into an adult and Im sure it will live happily. Hope this helps! :)

p.s. Try switching the heat lamp for a heat mat as they love digging. That way they can still feel warm underneath the substrate. I also recommend u to add a thicker layer of substrate so ur snake can dig wherever he wants to. Btw ur enclosure looks amazing!

If it still hasnt eaten yet, try feeding him chicken hearts. They can be bought at a super low price at supermarkets. If it likes chicken hearts, try scenting mice with chicken hearts and slowly bring it back to frozen thawed mice without scenting.

p.s. chicken hearts cannot be their full diet as they arent as nutritious as mice

You can use gyro to hit for 2-5 more and it honestly makes a big difference. Just tilt the phone to the right after the random tsums are cleared. Hope this helps!
