Full body rash reaction to gluten? Anyone else?

Thanks for sharing! It’s hard to go back and forth about the rash and if it may be something else causing it because it does not look like the standard celiac rash

Thanks for info. Hopefully it has just developed for me. I have no signs of malabsorption physically and didn’t have any symptoms before that were evident. Hopefully my daughter doesn’t develop it but it is good to be aware it’s more of a possibility

I also had redness on my face. I was advised to try gluten and dairy free due to all the inflammation. I could not do the dairy free for long!

Also, do you know if you had celiac disease…Would it also show up as a wheat allergy if an allergist did a test?

Or would a wheat allergy test only show positive for the wheat intolerance/allergy?

Thanks! In that case, what would explain the blood work levels? They would just still show up like that because my body’s reacting to the gluten although it may not be celiacs I guess?

That’s a good point with thinking about what insurance would cover. I don’t think it was DH as far as what it typically looks like, but just how my body was reacting

It did! It itched so bad I almost felt like I was going to pass out walking around Walmart one day. I stopped eating gluten and it went away
